If you want 400 from a 2v just get a turbo kit, tubular k member, and coilovers and still be under 5k in all parts including fuel pump injectors ETC. just finished mine up. 9 lbs was 457/520 and 7 lbs which I run on the street is 401/459

@@BossTheoryy nope, it’s a unopened engine stock transmission with 180k. I’ve had the kit on for roughly 3 months and put 2500ish miles on it. Runs good on 7 lbs. gives you plenty of room to beat on it and keep it reliable.

@@BossTheoryy I get that for sure, if you do everything your self you’ll be in about 5k you gotta factor in injectors I did ford racing, 415 fuel pump, coil overs. Went the extra mile and ordered boost controller ETC. I truthfully think it’s worth it, it’s a fun car I haven’t got to race anything yet but on 7 lbs I can burn the tires if I hit it going 55. The reason people choose a Whipple or Kenne Bell for a 4.6 2V is torque. The torque curve is flatter than Kansas, which my 4000# Panther needs if I'm going to get off the line with appreciably more alacrity than stock. The other choice is a T56 6-speed, which ADTR offers as a kit.

Like your video I’m a very old guy just picked up a 99 GT with only 1268 miles on it plus it has a Vortech that when they bought car meaning company had Vortech already in place. Problem was not running very well they changed fuel pump Wisepro, fuel injectors, fuel rails, 77 air mass, spark plugs and finally tuned. Really enjoying the vehicle read many things about keeping motor together I feel 7 lbs boost will keep rods from bending and pistons from malfunction. Although I did read if true pistons and rods for 99 and00 were better because Ford change manufacturers.
