Can I make this for a 24V LED? I am trying to make a dimmer for my IKEA "MITTLED" light strip for cabinets. And which components should I use in the circuit? I can't find any DYI 24V LED dimmers anywhere online, so I would greatly appreciate any help! 🙏

Do you have a design for 2 channel MOSFET dimmer with channels inverse to each other? ie as one dims the other brightens.

Use 5meter led strip, and u can use the mosfet as branding iron

would a heat sink help? I have a 5m strip, a bunch of old PCBs that I can probably pull the correct mosfet and resistor from, and some heatsinks from old computers. probably have to buy the 10k pot though.

hey ..thank you for the vid !! things can be obvious but not for someone who is just starting or trying to get knowlege from the youtube community in these matters. saying because you see..you start with the mosfetIRF540N, adding resistor ( even these work only one way ) but you dont mention positives or negatives , start the B10K facing up then is facing down, My apologies trying to explain but here .. all my steps replicating your vid mine is not showing a difference in a voltage I added the meter and only shows a difference of 0.30V . so would you guide me how this could work as yours ? or is it imperative to have a led strip ? because I was testing also with only one LED and it did not dimmed but again thank you for you Video !!

With 20v the IRF gets very hot, should I change the resistor?

You shouldn't have to change the gate resistor. Instead, wither get a MOSFET that handles more power, OR you can add a heatsink to the FET which will reduce the temperature immensely.

Main input 5 volt de raha hu. Or out put per 4volt led 40 pic chala raha hu maine D882 transistor use Kiya ha.

You need 12v power supply

It's bass ackward anyway. it doesn't the full range of the POT.

Waste of $50aud to buy parts didn’t even work properly sure it dimmed it a little bit nit much then the leds start flashing plus the 10k resistor lowers the voltage do they are not as bright as they would be on 12v plus would not recommend it because I only had about 40cm of light strips and the mosfet was so hot one actually blew up has now got a crack in it I’ve checked the circuit it’s the same as yours not happy
