According to the industry standards, he was absolutely right. You can get a lot of gigs, maybe shoots and sponsors but walking the ramp is a big no if you less than 6 feet as a male model.

This is not true. I used to work on the production--and media--side of the the fashion industry in LA. There are all sorts of models, ranging from print to runway. And specialized models from underwear to fetish to fitness. All of these have different height and weight requirements. There is a big divide, especially, once you cross over to photography where shorter, smaller models have an advantage. You should not believe photographers from Nashville.

Too many guys on the street are super good-looking. At the beach, another realm of male beauty altogether. These are the guys who make you cry into your pillow. Most male models can't complete. The best thing you can do to have stunning looks is to start with stunning parents. Symmetrical Genetics trump everyone. The main thing in real life is what do you do? How do you make money? Make enough money and everyone will find you attractive
