We have owned this thermotstat for over 14 years, and never had problem with it... till last week, thank you for you tutorial..... from the nightclub that 29C or 84F.... the Air has kicked in... and were so happy you did this tutorial. Love to chill! :)

what is the 670 for?

How do I change the pin from 670 to a random number

Thanks for posting. When I press on “system” it won’t change (or blink). I don’t know if the thermostat won’t register the touch on the area or if the system is locked. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Turn off the power to your HVAC system. Remove the batteries. Re-insert batteries, and turn power back on and see what happens.

This is installed in my dorm room and they have the screen locked in each room but they have one main system that controls all of them in the hallway in a lockbox. If I unlock mine would it give them an alert?

Seems like there is an issue with the system, probably a refrigerant leak, if it still runs, but blows hot air.

how do you do a hard reset on this specific model? The top right part of screen is not responding.

Your unit might have touch issues and may need to be replaced.

I don't understand why that train thermostat activates AC and furnace at the same time. I know it's in the program. Can you help?

Take it out of the auto mode for cool and heat. Either run on heat in winter, and cool in summer.

I have this exact model, but 670 does not come up in the menu. I believe it jumps from 610 to 700. Any ideas?

@@SaveGreenHere My model is a TH832OU1008. Instead of pressing buttons 2 and 4 to change the code to 670, you press button 3, alone. The rest works the same. Thanks!

Does it work for 8580? The thermostat looks the same

Try it on the 8580, it should work. I believe any 8000 series are the same except for just some very minor changes.

My roommates try to cook the whole house at 74 in winter, just a huge waste of energy. They leave their windows open too. The world is wasted on people like them.

When I hold down the two buttons simultaneously, I don’t have the same screen options. I am missing the set of buttons to the left & instead have another set that is above what is on your screen on the right. How can I fix this?

WARNING: WRITE DOWN THE NUMBERS YOU FIND BEFORE CHANGING SETTINGS, some of this numbers control the speed of the motor, coolants or things like that... you may not want to hire a technician to come change the settings later if your outside motor fails to stop.. in some models you only have to press the buttom number 3 instead of 2 and 4... somebody knows a good technician???
