Thank I just started making beats and I use a MPD218 and I had no idea how to set this up not alot of tutorials on the MPC or MPD itself but this helped get me going!

Im trying to make live loops without DAW. Simple drum loops then play my keyboard on top of that. What kind of gear do i need?

I’d go with a looper pedal or a phone app such as Loopy

Nice video. I've been using Maschine Mk3 for the same purpose, with its midi mode. What I do like about the Maschine Mk3 knobs is that each button has also a "touch" midi event. So every button can sends a "touch" + "release" message + the actual CC value. Which is really cool when using filter or other time based effects.

it can be done in a simple way by looping a region on your timeline and continuously adding layers. I wonder if more can be done with some custom midi mappings.....

Thanks alot taetro I knly have a chromebook so have to make the best of what I've got I would rather invest in gear rather than the computer there not much point if I can do most things kn a chromebook anyways
