Very informative video! Congrats. I’m struggling with Ableton and Arturia and this is one of the best tutorials so far that I watched. I have one basic question: what’s the difference in doing as you did and using the Looper? I was trying to use the latter with no success.

Thank you so much, it really means something to me! I'm not quite sure what your problem is right now, so sorry. Maybe you can write me an email or a DM on Instagram with more detailed information about your issue. For example it would help to understand what you mean by using the term "looper" since the Ableton software works like a loop station. Looking forward to your message. :)

Hi Andrea, first of all: thanks a lot, I really appreciate your kind words. :) It should work out, I guess. I use an electric piano in combination with Ableton as well. You only need a MIDI signal, either through USB or via a MIDI Out on your keyboard. But I don't know if there is an option to active a loop since your keyboard probably doesn't have built in drum pads that are programmed to work that way with the Ableton DAW...

@@korhunov It's a little bit more complex with the MiniLab 2. You have to assign one of the eight pads (with its midi note) to the arm button in Ableton. A video tutorial is planned, right now the needed time is missing to record it...

Unfortunately, from the 6th minute there is a big jump because something is missing along the way. I guess we still need to arm these pads. For me, when I press pad 1/9 (1 Analog Lab), the piano key still activates instead of recording.

Hi dude, I get what you mean. Maybe you've watched one of my loop covers and in those I arm the tracks only by using the MiniLab. But I thought it would be too much to put everything in this video, so I'll explain the arm functionalities with the keyboard in another video soon. Anyway, you can already live loop tho, since you are able to arm the track with your computer mouse as shown in the video. If the track is armed the matching pad will be activated as well. Just press it after arming with your mouse! :) In your case it means that you have to arm the second track manually with the mouse. Let me know if it works, and stay tuned for the next tutorial video. 🫣
