What wireless mics were you using? YOu mentioned you had issues and we could all hear it... was it the Rode Wireless Go II?

Fun video, and I didn't know the trick about running the smoke machine over ice to get it to sink. Super cool!

Sennheiser G3. I just needed to change the channel but because Patrick didn't have headphones, we didn't know. And then when I recorded the post-production interview, I couldn't monitor myself so I had the same problem. A rookie mistake made twice. We got the channel changed now.

Yeah that was my question too since I know they’ve talked about using the Rode Wireless Go for things and that mic has been super solid for me. for range and quality though the sennheisers are awesome, but I’ve definitely had this EXACT issue on a video shoot before where a whole interview got scrapped because I wasn’t able to monitor and ended up on a channel with a lot of interference in an office building.

The only and biggest problem to your hat mask kick starter that I find is that the head sweats a lot and getting a sweaty mask out of your hat is not very appealing. Just an opinion.
