It does not matter how new or old U-Bolts are. Most U-Bolts are rolled threads, not cut threads. They deform when torqued and are not designed to be torqued twice. This is a direct quoted from the mechanical engineers at Eaton Detroit Springs, "The threads of most U-bolts are rolled, not cut, and when the nuts are torqued to the manufacturer’s specs, the threads become somewhat deformed. More damage is done to the threads when the nuts are removed. When trying to re-use u-bolts, the depth of the threads are less than what they should be, therefore obtaining and maintaining the correct torque may be impossible." According to engineering standards and the manufactureers, U-bolts should not be reused no matter how new they are. I will admit, I did it before I knew better.

I’m thinking about doing a small lift and maybe a slightly larger tire in my 21ft camper. I can’t even get in and out of my driveway which is not even steep without dragging my jacks. I also have to have my load distribution stabilizer bars loose when pulling in and out. It’s a total pain in the ass. These manufacturers really need to take more time and consider real world driving conditions and pay more attention to those exit angles.

That makes absolutely no sense except to the ignorant. The axle has the bend because its a weight rated axle they use. Same one for smaller cargo trailers. Thats so they can carry weight. A popup will never ahve that much weight on it and the bend is not extreme enough to mess with drivabikity. Flip your acle, dont pay stupid money for a useless kit unless youre doing it on some type of cargo trailer. Ive flipped multiple popups and there are ZERO issues with it.
