Glad to hear that you don’t have to be perfect to talk to your children about similar “sins” (even our adult children )… talking from a place of experience. I’m glad you’re addressing honor your parents …. Even adult children forget . I pray for mine often . A degree doesn’t make a stay at home mom irrelevant …no matter how smart you become. God uses even the simpleton to confound the wise 😊

I love that you mentioned that we shouldn’t be dealing with our kids as problems to be solved but rather to walk with them.. my kids are very young ( toddler) but I tend to often have that problem mindset, which can sometimes make parenting very restrictive.. thank you for sharing!

I had been fighting with someone when I got alone with God and came across this. I thought we were in agreement on something and started to take care of the important things, because they struggle with procrastination, when I realized there was an undercurrent. Know your authority, know your enemy, know your weapons…Simple, accurate according to scripture and soo practical 🙏🏽🙌🏽🎉 Satan is a legalist. Submission to God (the authority of His Word) is directly connected to the degree to which we receive from God and live in victory. This is not a linear walk…these layers intertwine and separate at different places…they connect in ways our minds will never fully grasp…. Our walk as sons and daughters interject with our walk as parents…the authority of God over us and us over our children…critical information here for parenting and living by faith. Love that Addison pointed out/emphasized that God will teach us how to engage with Him in a way that’s authentic to our relationship with Him. Love that Julie put it in plain language, “our children are going to act a fool soo frequently”, and emphasized that we’re moving through adolescence with our children and need to remember that (and respond in such a way that evidences our belief that) they’re in a stage of development and not building a house there. Sooo many practical and wise, scripturally-evidenced, tactics practices/strategies to employ here. Cannot say “THANK YOU” enough for this VERY NEEDED convo for the Body of Christ right now. These are not topics that are being taught in a large number of church bodies…resulting is an ill equipping/defeated body of believers. I’m very thankful Julie and Addison are taking time to process, breakdown, and fully divulge their insight, as revealed by the Holy Spirit, in this sector of knowledge regarding spiritual warfare, authority, being led by the Spirit in prayer, praying the Word, and…we’ll see what else the Holy Spirit reveals❤️❤️❤️🫶🙌🏽🥳🎉👏🏽

Wow. What an amazing discussion full of wisdom and truth. This was the first time listening to this episode but will certainly not be the last. As a mom of two, ages 2&7, I will be back for some serious note taking. I do hope and pray you guys continue to speak on this topic of spiritual warfare. For the past 3 months I feel as though I’ve hit a slump in my relationship with God. Distracted by my phone, my hobbies, my family, etc…anything and everything really. 3 months ago I felt God closer than ever before. I was journaling, had quiet times with God, reading the Bible, prayed so much every time I got into the car people around me probably thought I was on the phone with some when really I was on a spiritual call with God every chance I got, and engaged in God filled conversations almost daily…to sadly having most if not all of that disappear almost completely. Feeling this sense of a “have to” attitude instead of “want to” when it comes to that God-filled engagement. I hate the felling and miss how close I could feel God. I know the enemy is doing this but I haven’t found a way out of it all. I’m asking for prayers and more conversations like this one to help me and others in the same situation understand that this is something us Christians will go through but not where our journey ends with God.

I think I’ve listened to every single episode so far and look forward to listening to every one that comes out! Thank you so much for bringing balance to all of this. I tend towards fear thinking of the devil and what he is capable of but that only happens when I’m looking at Satan versus looking at Jesus who is FAR above all powers of darkness and when we’re seated with Christ that’s where we are! Hallelujah! I really appreciate how you bring it back to humility and submission to God. Love love these conversations and keep going!

It is so hard not to personalize when your kids or family is acting under the enemies influence . Big learning curve for us this year. And yes not to be afraid of it but take authority....know your God , CHRIST the LORD! 😅

I have been married for nearly 10years now, there's been blissful times and there's be moments of attack that tend to be overwhelming, I would love an episode on marriage. But otherwise I love the Beveres from the pioneers John and Lisa, I first met them at rivers sandton in South Africa
