Trisha Meloling now I actually put one in a 6 gallon tank cause she is a rescue fish cause the shop has an ick explosion and all are dying so she is there in the six gallon and she is happy and playful she actually plays and chases my turtles in the nearby tank ha

Awesome information Lori, I appreciate your knowledge. Currently working on a 90 gallon tank for goldfish, I have two 150 gallon Cyclid tanks and then I built a pond. Ended up rescuing some Comets and a Common goldfish for the pond and that inspired me to do a nice tank for Fancy goldfish. Thank you for your help!

Thank you for all the tips! I definitely need to buy one of those algae removal magnets to stick on the glass of my 5 gallon beta tank.. I use the filter that came with the kit, I think, by Marineland.. I also change the water in the tank weekly just to make sure that the weather quality stays optimal.. Butter is a cutie! I wasn't aware that goldfish could grow so large! But I think under stocking your tank is really useful to keep it clean.. Thanks! 💖your videos!!

I have 4 little danios and one giant plakat betta in a 20 gallon with lots of plants and hiding spots.

Frequent water changes and multiple fish is more humane in my opinion as goldfish are social fish. But of course, it is best to have multiple fish and not be over stocked.

Hi I was wondering if you could use repti bark in a hamsters cage. I don’t think you can but I wanted to make sure.

I have 2 large goldfish and their baby and 2 weather loach in a 6ft tank they have a fluval external filter and aqua one internal filter. The external is a doddle to clean but the internal is a nightmare. And it's getting warmer now in England so struggling with rising temperatures. The goldfish are fine as they temperate but the weather loach is cold water. Xxx

Do you take that much water out every time you water change? 50% is really the most you should do unless you have to do it because your levels are awful awful. You're killing most of the beneficial bacteria in there and on the driftwood :( I do love the tank though, it's so pretty.

Large water changes don't kill beneficial bacteria unless the pH or temp of the new water is drastically different than the old. The vast majority live in the filter media and aren't affected at all. I do two 80% water changes (sometimes more) a week on my tanks.

All you are doing by using your filter media to wipe off the algae is recycling the algae into your system. Just wipe it off with paper towel. Brown algae is so easy to remove.

What recommendations for African dwarf frogs tank size? I have them on a 20 gallon with my black moor and betta. Im getting a 40 gallon cycled so I want to know if I can add the adf to the 40 gallon

Yea you can add the frog as long as the 40 gallon is a long tank not a fat tank!

I know you posted this video awhile ago but I am just seeing it now so I have 3 goldfish and their tank is so dirty all the time and they are all the sudden showing signs of low oxygen levels I have had the one for 4 years and the other for less the 6 months I do not know how big the tank is and where did you get that bad butt filter

What would work for a 1 gallon tank for a betta fish???

When you have a fish tank in your room that is the proper size 20 gallon or large for a goldfish, how do you get it to a water source to do a water change? It would be very heavy and also I'd be worried about the bottom giving way when the water is weighing it down without the support of a table underneath. Do you take a bucket?

There are fish vacuums that can be used that drain into a bucket. There is no carrying a large fish tank to a water source. A 20 gallon tank weighs several hundred pounds.

I really need help. I know my goldfish’s going to die. My tank is a little to small for 2 pearlscale goldfish and not to mention I’m 13 and my family doesn’t have a lot of money so I’m really scared for them. I do do water changes but that’s not enough for them and I don’t have enough information

How is the fish doing? You have strange eyes, are they contact lens ? I have 5 goldfish, I lost one recently, not sure if it was electrocution or poison or other. Oddly my power had begun flicking off & finally wouldn’t come back on. At same time I found my front door open when I awoke, there were 2 snails in the goldfish tank. I hadn’t had any snails for a year or longer & found it puzzling 🤔. (I had also thought my guppies kept dying but couldn’t find any carcass until I had actual guppy death and I saw they float so 30 guppy weren’t just dying or being eaten by other guppy), it’s been an intruder. Thanks for the talk, I’m off to change my goldfish water.

Doesn’t she need friends and companionship though? That’s my only concern with under stocking. I do have a 20 gallon long with 2 filters on it which is 530 GPH. I do frequent water changes blah blah blah. Only 5 in there they’re fine for now. I may change later idk yet. I had 5 in a 10 gallon when I was 14 with a filter that could only handle 110 GPH so I’ve learned my lesson there

Brown algae goes away of it's own accord when there are sufficient plants in the tank. The actual plants use up the nutrients starving the algae. Brown algae is normal in a new tank, when it's not fully balanced

Why are my goldfish not growing i have 4 comets and a oranda

I've heard horror stories of algae chemicals killing not only all the algae but all the fish in the tank too 😬 I NEVER recommend algae killing chemicals and I would never use them personally.

It would be amazing if you did a video with solid gold aquatics. I realize she doesn't focus on just goldfish anymore, but you both have at least one and tons of goldfish love. Also, I do more than 20g per goldfish. I have four fancy goldfish in a 150g with a fx4 and don't think I'm ever getting more.

Your videos are lovely. Only thing I’d change (and of course you don’t have to) is leave a tad more space between your edits (so there is more space between sentences). Your videos are so informative so I’d like to watch them but my brain is spinning from how fast the words comes at me😆. Just constructive criticism you can take or leave. Love your info and video!

Unless it’s a fish specialty store they probably have no idea. I’ve had box box stores lie several times to me about what fish need or what fish would get along with each other.

I have a problem I bought three $0.04 goldfish from a pet store. I put them in a 20 gallon tank. 3 years later they are huge. I change the water once a week. I can't afford a bigger fish tank. They seem very happy and they are very playful. When I come into the living room they rushed to see me like happy puppies. I never realized they would grow so big. I named them father Son and Holy Ghost.💒⛪❤💜💙💛💚💃 they are the most loving fish. If God gives me a fish tank I will do everything you said. I never dreamed that they were crowded. Forgive me I feel like I'm participating in fish abuse

My filter is for like a 100 gallon or something mad and I have a 60 gallon. Haven't set it all up though
