    I installed a KENWOOD head unit and iDataLink Maestro and it lets me monitor stuff like AFR, intake temp, fuel mileage, all kinds of stuff right on the head unit. It also does 0-60, 1/4 mile time, 60-0 braking….it’s really awesome and I didn’t know it was going to do all of that.

    Beautiful car man glad to see it running still. Honestly a car I've been eye balling for years love the look of it. I really want to buy one within 3 years. What's things I should know? I drive a modded CRZ

    my 08 has about 255k now, still starts right up and gets me to places. I do have a EVAP leak, oxygen sensor issue, burns about .6qt oil every 600-800 miles and a bit of shifting issue I still can't pin point but I can't complain. It has been my most reliable car I ever own so far

    im having shifting issues too. be sure to check up on the shifter cable and base bushings. also take a look at the shifter cables themselves. might also have to dive deeper and look into the trans as well.

I'M EDITING MY VIDEO NOW AS WELL. OUT SOON. LASTLY, GERB! THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HELP. I HOPE THIS GETS YOU ONE BACK.

    How much does FBO + tune hurt reliability? I know you can tell the tuner to gear towards reliability and daily driving.

    234k miles on my stock k20z3. I’d say oil is the most crucial thing to watch on these engines. I use a full 5qts with my amsoil changes. These sucks burn oil which is why I fill with extra oil.

  • @edwardinvegas

    All great advice. Remember to check your tire pressure when cold in the AM if possible. My 07 Si Sedan is stock with K20 with 274K miles I bought new. I change the oil religiously every 15% oil life left on the maintenance minder. Which averages around 5.5K. I use it as my commuter (highway) car 330 miles a week. The car WILL burn oil. I fill my oil up to the full dot because I know this WILL happen. I then check it once a week on level ground. I would say between oil changes about 1 to 1.5 quarts it burns. But still runs great. Not wanting to put as many miles on my 22' Si I bought Oct. 2022.

    @@luismonterroso3318 YES they do. WATCH THEM.... I am closing in on 275K now. Just check it every week or so...But the K20 is a SOLID MOTOR. Esp. if you keep it STOCK.

    @@luismonterroso3318 No problem. Yep when I bought the Si new in 2007 after 100K miles about 5 years later or so the Service Advisor at Honda told me that is "normal" I am sticking with Synthetic Blend as they (Honda) had started with. I swear by MaxLife Valvoline High Mileage 5w/30. Been using since 100K when I started doing the oil myself...

    I found you Chanel and i saw that you had a k24a in your fa5. I recently purchased a fa5 civic si fa5 sedan and it had a k24A with RBB 3, ice been doing a lot of research and is it true that the rbb3 is one of the best oit of the 1,2,3,and 4.lode ? I also just wanted to know what car it could possibly came from, what oil should i use, how much power i push, and whats the rev limit ?

  • @TheGerbsteve

    @TheGerbsteve

    Yes, the RBB3 is the best. It makes higher HP and has better cams. Mainly, more refined than the previous years. It came from a mini van, most likely an odyssey absolute. I would use what it says on oil cap and higher grade oil, like AMSOIL. Stock power is about 201-203 with 170tq. Stock limit is 7200. Tuned, Keep rev limit under 8k, mines at 7800.

    Hey, I just bought a 2020 SI. Do you think I should replace the transmission? Because the guy who had it really dogged it out and It’s all decked out for racing. I drove the car for a week and the clutch blew. What do you suggest I do next? 🙏

    Good advice there!! I heard years ago, that you should take it easy ( Vtec engines especially..) anywheres between 9-12 miles, before the engine is truly warmed Up.

    yo dude your headlights.... you should try some Toothpaste with some microfiber towels and polish it in like wax... lol sounds hilarious but years ago i had a car doing the ol foggy headlight thing and i read somewhere you can use toothpaste and clear it up... so me and my dad tried laughing as we were doing it but you know what..... it fuckin worked hahahaha it actually made the headlights look brand new again me and my dad were blown away lol.... had to do it a couple times to get them looking amazing but it totally worked and was cheap compared to some of the headlight restore kits you can get...
