That was a massive jump! I don't think I have seen a wing foil jump as high as the one used a few times in this video. Lookin' good!

Thanks Pete! Was not that windy... Reason why I drop out of the sky so hard, ahhhhhhh. More wind I am sure we could go massive!

@@DamienLeroyKZread I always wonder how much stress hits the wings on the foil when it pancakes into the water. Most landings I see appear to hit the water very flat. I keep imagining the wings snapping off.

Love the Channel, thanks for the tips! What size board (volume and length) are you riding in the video? Is this your go to board size for airs and flips?

Hi Damien! Great Video. Which Board/foil set up do you recomand to start jumping? Is a board over 100 L too big/dangereous?

Technically you can jump on anything by building your way up with small jumps.. You can jump on a 100L board but of course smaller gets more fun. I would start small and build your way up.... :)

Do you think starting with shorter mast and small board will help? I'm on a 83cm atm when I jump is feels I go really high but the foil is only one for out of the water 😂 Also what's the right footstrap adjustment to prevent injuries? Is there any video about that? Thank you!

Be great to talk a bit about straps. I've been riding with front strap for some time. Adding back strap I found difficult to get used to placement. Jumping pretty easy to start flying 1st session but 2nd session got caught in rear strap doing toeside jibe. Twisted ankle almost healed up but thinking my strap hoop too tight or? Hard to find what proper strap setup looks like. I've seen many setups and some look so deep in their strap but no issues. Any advice?

We have a strap video "Straps vs Non Straps" feel free to check that out but honestly, foot straps are more of a personal preference on how tight or loose you want them. No matter how you have it, there is always that chance you can tweak an ankle. If you're nervous about hurting an ankle again, you can use a Dakine Cobra Hook Strap. Another option!

Great vid, thanks for the tips! Quick question, looks like you don’t have a board leash on, is that better/safer when jumping? I want to start trying some jumps and I’m wondering if I should keep the board leash on or not 🤔 as I’m kind of worrying about landing on the board/foil if things go wrong/I slip out the footstraps 😂 Thanks!

The leash is good in the beginning so you don't get separated form the board as it is hard to chase after it in the water. Also for the safety for bystanders if separated. If you start with small jumps and learn it slowly you will be fine with the leash! Sometimes I forget to put it on! :)
