Hi, I'm Rami from Syria, I'm 22 years old, I'm from Damascus, it's the capital of Syria. I'm a lawyer, some of my hobbies are learning English, watching TV, and playing football, and I've lived in Syria all my life, although it's a little bit hot, but I love it.

When I finished my CELTA we went to the pub with some of the people we taught. I was talking to this one guy for maybe 10-15 minutes.. He then said "umm, how would you say 'goodbye' to someone?" I said "probably, 'it's been good to see you, goodbye'" He then said "It's been good to see you, goodbye" and we stood in awkward silence for about 6 seconds.. Better get another drink.......

Great video, very natural and does sound native! Instead of saying « I’ve lived in England all my life », I would rather say : « I have been living in England all my life ». Funny to notice that when you’re used to one tense, you wouldn’t use another one. Hard to change. What do you think of my « I have been + ING » ?

I will never undestand when to use the form "I have been....doing st" instead of "I have lived, danced" etc... In another video you were explaning the form "I had been coocking, playing, living.." My God... they are really a lot !! 🙂 Ciao from Italy !

As a native English speaker, I wouldn't say there's much difference between "I've been dancing since I was 5 years old" and "I've danced since I was 5 years old", but you'd probably use the first. But if you were choosing between saying "I've been working there for 3 years" and "I've worked there for 3 years" you'd probably say the second... 🤷🏻‍♀️
