I low your videos! I found this channel (your latter channel) yesterday and have spent so long watching all your videos. So sad to hear about your old channel. Hopefully this one can grow and flourish into what your old channel once was 💕

You're most welcome. I sympathise with you, I had a useless Spanish teacher one year when I was still in school. So useless, he never even spoke Spanish himself in front of the class! lol. So, if ever you have any questions, don't hesitate to come here and ask. Always happy to help :)

Hi Cindi, from glorious Norfolk, England! Are you still producing videos? I ask as I can't seem to find any recent ones, but possibly I'm looking in the wrong place. I'm bilingual and hoped my step-children would be too, but there I failed miserably! You can lead a horse to water, as they say... Quoi qu'il en soit, je voudrais vous remercier sincèrement pour ce que vous faites ici. Une chaîne KZread, c'est beaucoup de travail, mais soyez assuré qu'il y a beaucoup de KZreadrs qui vous apprécient!

Hello county neighbour! Beautiful Suffolk here! :) As it so happens I have a new video in the making which I need to finish editing! But you're right, sadly I haven't been able to publish new videos in quite some time, though I fully intend on getting back to it. I became a first time mum last summer, to a beautiful little girl (not biased at all!! lol) and ever since then I've been far busier than I'd have ever anticipated. We, too, are trying to raise her bilingual. We're trying to stick to OPOL, but I'm finding it quite challenging at times. Hard for me to stick to French when everyone else around us, including my partner, only speak English! So, hopefully, what we're doing will be enough. How did you become bilingual?

@@Frencheezi Casey is cool! I think most Brits who love French are already Francophile-I certainly was during my teens. Years later, after family problems forced a break in my formal education, I made a lot of French friends via _vacances linguistiques_ ... the story meanders, and I've lived in Amiens and Perpignan, where I saw OPOL in action. I still read some French daily, and got involved in our local _jumelage_ 6 years ago. Our languages have been linked for a millennium, and I love studying their shared history. Suffolk? My girlfriend and I like holidaying in Aldeburgh, where our friends lend us their flat. May I give you a little tip? _Everyone speak*s_* because _everybody,_ like _anybody, anyone_ and _everyone,_ is always singular grammatically, like _chacun._ BUT! In East Anglia, _everyone speak_ is OK in the local dialect, as we conjugate the third person singular subject with a third person plural verb. So: "He come here every day, he do, because he love it here!" is typical. Don't let us mislead you! ;0)
me acabo de suscribir. a tu nuevo canal y nunca he tratado de aprender francés porque siento que no podría pronunciar el acento. Lo explicas tan bien que me gustaría tratar de aprenderlo. Cual video debería escoger para comenzar?

What about introducing others with "Ca, c'est ...", e.g., "Ca, c'est Pierre", or "Ca, c'est ma mère et mon père"?
@Frencheezi
6 жыл бұрын
This would be seen as quite rude as ça is used to refer to things, not people. Use elle, lui, eux instead. e.g: Lui, c'est Pierre.
Hello madam Can we also say that La' , c'EST mon.----- He is my brother or sister
I am taking French and was told that the use of enchanté is no longer widely accepted in France. Do you agree?
@Frencheezi
6 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't say it's no longer accepted, but people don't use this phrase very often anymore. It sounds very formal.

C'est mon père! Is this rude?

No, it's not rude. Why? I read your comment about German words. Would the German equivalent of 'C'est mon père' be rude then?
