Thanks for these very helpful videos. Interesting translation at 5.42. Tthat is not a very native English translation, we would never say that in that context, but you do hear that expression in French a lot. Perhaps "Il est interessant" could mean "a good idea, helpful, advantageous, or worthwhile" in English. Interestingly the French say "interesting" and "boring" when speaking English in ways that we don't, and it is difficult for us to express these concepts accurately in French.

No we say (vous) pour les gens qui sont plus grands que nous ou bien pour des inconnus alors vous devez dire a votre maman "vous" car elle est plus grande que vous et merci 😊🙏🏻

Le "vous" était employé autrefois, sous l'ancien régime, au temps où la France était un royaume, entre les parents et les enfants. On le retrouve dans la comptine "à vous dirai-je maman". Encore maintenant, on emploie "vous" dans certaines grandes familles, les anciennes familles nobles ou chez les grands bourgeois. Si je me souviens bien, dans le film "la vie est un long fleuve tranquille", les membres de la famille Duquesnoy se vouvoient. "vous" was used times ago, when France was a kingdom, between members of the same family. There is a song for little kid "à vous dirai-je maman" where a child says "vous" talking to his/her mother. Nowaday in upclass families like nobles or property-owning and "bourgeoisie" families, the "vous" is still use. As far as I remember, in the French movie "la vie est un long fleuve tranquille", members of the Duquesnoy family, use "vous" while talking to each others.
