    Thanks so much for documenting all your hard work! I've loved watching your videos. I saw your finished van in one of your later videos and had to go back and find out how you did the carpeting. I'm doing a conversion of a ProMaster and had no idea how I was going to work around the doors and this seems like a perfect solution for me. Cheers from across the pond!

    @@campervibe I received the closed cell foam today and have begun to apply it around the easier parts. Do you have any tips on how to measure and cut it around all the weird corners? And did you remove the door catches by the back door or just work around them? Even the easy parts are tough and I'm counting on the carpet to cover up all the imperfections I've already made. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

    Finding your videos extremely useful - thank you very much! I'm in the process of converting a 2016 Ducato L3H2 - so virtually the same van. Did you spray adhesive on both the carpet and the closed cell foam backing - or just on the foam backing?

    The vents are for the sliding door ,so they don’t cause the pressure on the windows to pop.

    camper vibe ,it will equalise the pressure to make the sliding door easier to shut. Just as I always open the passenger door slightly when closing my Boxers door. I’m at around the same level in my vans build ,your doing a great job of yours.

    Did you leave the vents at the back by the wheel arches open in the end, or did you cover them over? I'm getting soon to that bit on my van, and I'm wondering if I close them off, with all the tight insulation and lining everywhere, if there will be any source of fresh air/oxygen when sleeping over night?

  • @campervibe

    @campervibe

    4 жыл бұрын

    Hi, we covered them over as we get our ventilation from the skylights. They're slam vents to assist with closing the sliding door and ours is now a bit harder to close if I'm honest.

  • @sebxj25vm

    @sebxj25vm

    Thank you - much appreciated! I'm tempted to leave at least one of them open, so that there is a minimal amount of guaranteed fresh air coming in even if the skylights are closed. Also, I find the sliding door a bit of a pain even now, with both of them open :-)

    Hi James. I've added a link for the closed cell foam in the description of this video. As for the carpet I think we got a 4m x 4m piece, I can't quite remember. It's way too much but I wanted to have as few joins as possible. It did do around the doors tho and inside of the storage above the cab.
