Wymiatacz Plays I have a hedgehog. Their teeth are actually pretty strong and could easily bite of human fingers 😅 But hedgehogs also bite you as a way of saying hello to you. Evertime I wake up my hedgehog, she gives me a sniff and a little bite. So if a hedgehog bites you but doesn’t seem angry, it probably just wants to say hello

I was able to do this to wild hedgehogs in our garden, in the summer they came out for food relatively early in the evening and were friendly enough to not run away on approach. They huddle up, but a few nose and forehead strokes and they relax quickly. Although sometimes they get too comfortable and start sniffing and go in for a little bite lol.

Awww he sounds like a little racecar when's grumpy!

For thouse who are wondering... Yes. This does work for an angry/sad/grumpy/anxious close friend/significant other if touch is allowed in the relationship. Make sure the person is tucked into the comfy burrito (bed/planket/thingy) before starting the hairline massage to maximise the effectiveness. Might not work if the person suffers from trust issues or feels unsafe.

​@@shadowsift wdym? it's completely normal not having that much skinship despite being in a relationship. when you're in a relationship, consent is important no matter what you wanna do. you wanna be in a comfortable relationship with someone, then both of you need to have understanding of each other. everyone is different from each other so some might not like it when they're being touch in certain situations while others don't mind it that much. it's not a big deal
