If you dont have the Skip wifi option do this: "Figured it out guys when it gets to the connect to internet page press Shift-Fn-F10 and when the prompt window appears type: oobe\bypassnro Then it will reset and next time you get to the internet window there will be the option to skip" -Credits to Joshua Munoz

Great video! I almost bot parallels)) With current version of UTM I used original vhdx file and didn't udjust cpu type. It works fine

Thank you for this tutorial, you just saved me from buying Parallel. New sub!

In case you don't see the "I don't have internet" button, do the following: 1. Restart the virtual machine 2. Once the setup starts press Shift + F10 which will open the console. In my case I had to plug in an external keyboard to make it work. 3. Type this into the console: OOBE\BYPASSNRO 4. Press enter and wait for the virtual machine to restart 5. Do the setup and now you will get the "I don't have internet" option

you can't really play valorant on a vm due to its anticheat. I tried it before and was disappointed

Thank you for this tutorial! Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I had attempted to run Windows 10 in Parallels earlier this year on my M1 Mini which was quite a dismal experience (the framerate and overall interfacing with Windows felt quite laggy and choppy). How do you feel the overall experience is running Windows in UTM? I guess in regards to how it feels, if it feels close to actually running it natively or not.

Works very smart! In addition, if you set the number of used processor cores in the settings: 6, then the performance will increase even more! best wishes !

If you could make an updated video that would be fantastic. The software has completely changed and it no longer loads into the installer.

Hi , great info & clear. I followed all & only thing that does not work on my M1 mac / Windows for Arm/ spice tools/ qcow version converted too. I checked in Mac os & made sure my usb drive was mounted ( it wasn’t) then re stated the VM . Still no usb . I have set up a removable usb drive iso in VM settings. Can you suggest what I can do to make this work? Thanks

i solved the display problem (where it froze when set to only display 1) by on the utm vm settings, on display selecting the fit to scale ( take into accout that then i could't select the maximun display resolution as I’m on a mbp 16 (3456 × 2234) and it allwed me to set the display until 5000+ pixels wich cutted the output onto the corners basicaly take into account that that you will have to fine tune de display settings

Weird question, are you able to use applications or play games in the Utm?

IT WORKS use fn + shift + 10 if the usual cmd didn't work during setting up the internet

Questions: (1) Why did you have to fall back to QEMU 5.2 instead of 6.1? (2) For newer versions do you have to convert to qcow? Why not just use the vhdx file?

It should be fine. If it does corrupt and you want to update still just go ahead and download and use the latest VHDX from Microsoft’s website. Let me know how it goes

Hi, I get to the part where it starts up asking me the country region, then keyboard set up, but then when it ask to set up my network, it gets stuck there and I don't have an option to click "I don't have internet"" as you show on your video, and the next button is greyed out and I can't click anything. A message shows up right above the greyed out "Next" button saying: Having trouble connecting to the internet? Please help, thanks
