It still does not work. When I press FN + SHIFT + F10 nothing happens and the same thing with alt + TAB. I read one comment below, where somebody had the same problem and said that he changed the settings of his keyboard. I did the same thing but nothing changed. Please help me.

Fixed. Mac keyboard preferences have to be set to "Use F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys" also the option "Press Fn key to" set to 'Do Nothing'. Finally!

This is *not* install Windows 11 on M1. This is installing it on a VM, there is a big difference than installing it bare metal.

It wont heat up a lot, but if windows 11 uses more power then sure its warms up a lot.

I also held Shift + F10 before getting to the network screen and the Command Prompt window appeared.

Thanks so much! I've been trying for ages to get this to work and kept running into issues, but you've shown how to get past them all. Also the new UTM update makes things such as the SPICE tools a whole lot easier.

For now, the spice guests tool is not available as it showed in the videos!, but is around somewhere in the page. just you have to put effort to go and find it. 2. 64Bit will not be available for MacBook M1, only 32bit. So ya, just follow as the video's instruction that's all. Finally managed to download this. Thank you so much for this amazing video!

Fn+Shift+F10 turns the speaker on an off. I found that capturing the cursor in the windows and then using Option+F10 works pops up two windows. Pick the one on the right and that will get you to the command line.

Ok Do this .. first , delete the VM completely and start from fresh. This time after running the VM for the first time, you will see some text press any key to continue, press the mouse cursor inside immediately and press scape bar..

I believe this is because there is a screen on a newer version of UTM has a screen where you can select which architecture to use. It defaults to x86 when you are meant to use ARM64. Once I select this option, I don't see the shell screen and instead it goes to the first UTM booting screen you see in the video. However, while I seem to have fixed the first problem, I can't seem to get past this first loading screen either.

My whole windows 11 VM is pixelated, is it supposed to be like this? the mac os looks perfectly HD and crisp, but everything on the windows 11 vm is pixelated like the app icons, the text, everything

Hi, thanks to your guide I finally managed to get windows on my macbook pro M1. I just have one problem, everytime i turn it on, it tells me my build is out of date and to update asap. In windows update, I was asked to share the optional diagnostic data and associate my insider preview account, that I already had and it has been done. After this, continues to appear an error message saying that my PC does not have the minimum requirements sufficient for windows 11 and therefore does not make me update anything! Hi, I have a problem when I am in a virtual machine in visual studio. He throws me out of Visual after 10 minutes of work regularly. After I program for 10 minutes, he indicates that he is loading something and then throws me out of the visual and re-enters it. Has anyone encountered this problem?

My virtual machine runs very slowly even though I assigned 4gb of ram and 4 cpu cores. I am also not able to change the resolution that is set to 800 x 600 by default. Does anyone know how to fix these problems?

Did you install UTM tools. Also make sure inside the virtual machine settings under display enable retina mode.

hey so I've tried to install windows onto my MacBook Pro (2022) - 14 inch (MacOS Ventura) but as soon as I create the vm, it shows me a boot up screen and then gives me a black screen with some code and tell me to press escape to skip 'startup.nsh' or press any other key. When I go to the gallery and select Windows 11, it only has the GUIDE option, not the SPICE guest tools.

I am getting: "Error. We encountered a problem processing your request. Please try again later." when I tried downloading windows 11 (the first step in the video).

Eveyerthing work. I had a lot of troubles downloading it which required lots of research. including the wifi bypass and the spice guest thing. BUT I can't download any games from steam!!!!!!! So i guess it doesn't work for me

im understand now how to install the windows 11 but if i try again open when install the UTM it dont work i have to setup again... Can you fix?

No it won't delete anything from your computer. Windows is running inside a virtual machine, Kinda like a Safari App.

How can i have a nested virtualization in apple silicon (M1) systems. Like i have a mac, and i installed some VM like vmware fusion or utm or virtualbox and started windows 11 using that vm. Ok, so this is outdated now - both BEta and Dev Builds throw "Install a new build of Windows now" warning. Apparently they have expired and we need Release Channel images.

Its not outdated. Beta version is better. It shows the warning just don't bother. By the way you can use UUP Dump to make Win ISO and install

Shutdown the Windows VM. Go to the main interface of UTM, from the side bar click on Windows 11 VM right click and delete it

did you ever tried to run multiple VMs like windows server 2016 x64 + windows client x64 ? i wanted to know if m1 chipset is better than i5 processor but no one talk about this.

emulating x64 Os on Arm is like swimming in the ocean. M1 chip handles the emulation good but the performance is drop here.

Its oobe\bypassnro (only alphabets) try with both uppercase and lower case and see.

Bro for some reason I’m stuck on the step to bypass the internet but the fn+shift+f10 key don’t pop up the window for me. Any idea why??

After pressing the FN + Shift + F10, the command prompt has opened and wont be visible. To see it press alt + tab

Make sure you installed Spice guest tools, then inside settings - display scale up the resolution.
