Thanks so much, this worked flawlessly and has saved me a lot of money because now I don't need to buy a new PC. Wish I 'd seen this before I bought a new laptop specifically for Windows 11. Very clear instructions and very easy to follow. Very well done!!

How long does it take to load into the rebootable iso . Because i see the windows logo but no loading icon and i just end up switching it off. So my question is how long does it take to boot into the usb os? Should i just wait until it eventually shows the loading icon? Am i too impatient because i have only waited 10 minutes max?

Or just run "setup /product server" and do a fresh install. Don't have to muck around creating a USB boot drive, just double-click the ISO to mount it then run 'setup /product server'. Sure, Rufus USB boot drive is a good method if you don't already have any version of Windows installed but if you do then mounting the ISO and running 'setup.exe' from the mounted ISO with the '/product sever' switch is way simpler and faster plus it saves from having to install all the bloat that comes with Windows. Save yourself lots of time and effort when installing Windows by avoiding installing all the 'bloatware' just by setting the ' Time and currency format:' to 'English (World)' or '(Europe)'. Just remember to change the Region settings after installation: Settings / Time and Language / Language and Region / Region: Country or Region When the 'Choose what to keep' screen loads, select 'Nothing' to do a clean install (wipe everything), select 'Keep personal files only' to keep data but nothing else or select 'Keep files, settings and apps" to just do a 'refresh install'.

Some updates arrive with windows updates. You can download the missing ones from the manufacturers website or use an OEM tool like MyAsus if you use a laptop or a pre-built rig.

I tried and Rufus does work, just check if your PC/laptop is UEFI or legacy Bios, if legacy choose MBR, otherwise GPT with UEFI boot should work.

You will only lose whatever data is on the C drive. So create a backup.
