Do you have any class which teach to wrap the window trim in a trlu professional way and siding ? I have seem ways too many botched window wrap and siding. I am willing and more happy to attend the class just to gain more learning inthis field. Thanks

Have a situation where the crimping isn’t as durable and is flimsy. Could I use a silicone calk to tether it to the rest of the vinyl paneling?

This video solved an argument on the worksite. I've never installed siding, and regular common sense told me to nail the starter strip into the wall framing on the plate(dead center). The 30 year veteran spent 20 years finding studs. 😅

Thank you for this video. There are 5/8 and 3/4 J channels available in Home Depot. Which J-channel I should use for siding installation? Also, what is the distance from the siding strip starter edge to the concrete foundation and when do I need to install the bottom J-channel?

I would install wooden strips vertically like studs, then nail into those.

Great video. I am putting in new windows and tyvek soon. this should help me.I want to put an awning (roof) over the back door. Is there a way to seal the vinyl siding around the supports?

GREAT VIDEOS! Can siding be installed upright instead of sideways? Advantages or disadvantages ? Just curious as I would be cladding a shipping container.. would that make a difference? Styrofoam insulation outside with PVC cladding..... for Ireland.. with mostly cold and raining conditions..highest temp 25 degrees Celsius

They make vertical siding, which is meant to be installed the way you want.

You need to buy board n batten, either hardie board n batten or vinyl board n batten if you want to install siding vertically

Do i need to chalk each line for the vinyl pieces? If so how do you measure the width of the siding piece and trace it on the wall for the chalk lin?

Snapping lines for each section is better then there is no guessing if it’s level or not

For corner piece, if the nail is not tie , how can the corne piece can stay on the wood?
