    Ya its flagstone, too dark to be blue bayou. I could be wrong though. Been a long time since I handled certainteed product

    even in this video they are not doing everything right. you do not need to leave more that 3/4 of an inch between over lapping siding and you should always put a nail as close to the end as possible this keeps the siding from being able to shake loose in high winds. in very windy locations put an other nail in the very next slot you will thank me one day. you can bet that there isnt a house in Canada or the US that has perfect 16" OC so finding a stud in the manner they tell you is bull shit . unless you find every stud, counting slots or letters wont work and 24" OC nailing is to far apart , put another in the middle to keep the panel from being sloppy. There usually is directions on each box telling you how and where to put the nails.

    Youre right always put nails at the end of the piece doesnt matter where the studs are located

    I am a certified installer and the way I learned was always stay 8 inches from the ends
