I repeated the whole procedure staying in OSX (one OS less) and I observed the same behaviour: After the device was put into download mode, it was visible as USB connected device but not visible anymore by "fastboot devices" ... so I am stuck.

This saved me from lots of confusion on how to use the TWRP auto for my K20 Pro. This guide makes more sense for me.

check on your phone, a window should appear asking for permission. check yes and in cmd type adb devices once again

Probably got taken down, I thought something didn't seem right here, the guy in the video blatantly lied at one point, OEM option does NOT delete everything off your phone at all, at least not until you connect it to the computer and actually flash another image to it, but that goes without saying 🤣 Try XDA, they're far more trustworthy, I use them a lot, here's one of the last pages I visited for a universal flash tool that can be used with just the Android system itself 😊 Not quite done anything with it yet though... 🤦‍♂️ www.xda-developers.com/online-flashing-with-universal-kernel-flash-tool/

@Can You Please Give Me Ideas For A God Username What? The OEM Unlock option? Funny, I've had at least a dozen different Samsung phones and several Sony phones and not a single one ever immediately deleted anything, so I'm unsure why anyone would think that, I'm currently using a Sony Xperia Z5 and that too doesn't immediately delete anything, although I understand that's not the point you're trying to make. Which obscure version of Samsung are you using that I seem to have missed? In my experience OEM Unlock literally just unlocks the ability to flash a new image without the need of a PC, flashing using the SD card, I'm not going to try and say I'm any kind of expert on the matter but the evidence is insurmountable imo, out of the uncountable amount of phones I've had not ONE which has the OEM Unlock option has ever immediately deleted anything on any phone, that's what the Factory Reset option is for, is it not? Or am I missing something that makes it necessary to have the exact same function in 2 different places in your menu but under 2 completely different names? 🤦‍♂️

Not really a phone I'm familiar with tbh but I'm actually quite surprised by that, the wipe would be performed anyway during the new flash process so I'm not sure why it requires you to do it immediately, kinda weird imo but again, I'm no expert on the matter, I'm just going by personal experiences, just seems unnecessary, hope I didn't offend, not slept for a while 🤦‍♂️

Make sure proper drivers are installed, and try restarting your phone & computer before giving it another go.

What u have to do is search twrp with your phone model no Example:-if u r using galaxy s4 model no i9500 then search "twrp for galaxy i9500" Hope this helps

I do feel this is a bit of false information. Not every single phone out there has an official TWRP recovery build. The only ones that get official builds are the ones that people actually know about and buy. You're not going to get a TCL LX custom recovery, let alone a custom ROM.

@@LeMarin96 Sideload will not work for every device. The command fastboot flash recovery the name of your.img will work on every device. Just recheck you may have entered the file name wrong.

And also waiting for device means your device is not properly connected just make your usb debugging asks you to allow and then type adb devices to see your whether device is listed or not. It should show you a random code listed.

@viperstudioshass did you try opening a command window in the tools folder and running as admin from there. It's what I had to do- I couldn't get recognized if I used the CMD prompt search bar in windows shortcuts.

If u plug ur device to the computer u need to first have it on to Allow the computer access to ur phone files etc. But also in the developer settings u need to have USB debugging on

Check your connected phone. Many phones require you to press a key corresponding to yes, to continue the process

i had the same issue it just restarted regulartly my screen didnt go into bootloader on my android help me too....

It is not for "all" device, it's just for device compatible with TWRP
