HM76 chipset of this laptop support 3rd-gen i3, i5, i7 CPUs. Fujitsu installed 2nd gen cpu in this laptop from stock. So by upgrade from 2nd to 3rd gen CPU you switch from intel hd graphics 3000 to intel hd 4000 which is about 30-40% faster in games. You can run GTA 5 at 720p@25-30 fps on minimal settings with disabled shadows.

Yes only if you can find old 3rd gen i7 processor, which is rare to find and also expensive. But upgrading to i5 3rd gen is very good choice. Thanks for the suggestion!!!

There must be more to it than this - you have inserted a new drive with no operating system on it, so it can't boot or do anything. I really wanted to see the steps of rebuilding a system using the Fujitsu installation disks.

@@TechRelatedTips Thanks for the answer. I have sen other videos also where they simply put the SSD into the PC - and boot! Simple as that! I think they're booting from a thumb-drive, but that doesn't put a system onto the SSD, does it? I need more explanation that what they are offering. In my case, i have been bounced into this upgrade by my previous disk failing. It boots as far as the desktop - all icons present and correct - but nothing works. Clicking icons doesn't do anything. I think the BCD is corrupted, but i can't run a recovery program because nothing will run. I had an old 60GB disk lying around, and i have built a system onto it from the original installation disks, and I'm using that to write to you now - but it's a 32-bit installation, though i was expecting 64. However, I know now that the failure wasn't PC hardware - it was definitely the disk. The old disk is readable on USB. I have bought a 1TB SSD, and i thought I would be able to build an OS from the installation disks, then upgrade to Win-10, but I'm working in ignorance because I have never done anything like this before. Right now, I'm going to spend time looking around the Fujitsu site to see if i can get any help from them. I have been running Win-7 pro / 64 bit. Once I get that onto my SSD, I can upgrade to Win-10 (I hope!), then copy all my files from the original HDD. I will look forward to your next video - though if I'm still needing it by the time you make it (I know these things take time), I will have no hair left to pull out!
