I watched your video first, then I watched 3 Other videos on how to install Lazy Susan hardware. Yours was definitely the easiest to understand and follow. Thank you for creating this video should be very simple for me now to install the six Lazy Susan’s that I have!
Thank you so much, i was thinking about how to install it ever since yesterday 😅
Thank you for making this video! It was really needed. Now I can finally put it together haha
I only did one access hole and rotated it
BRILLIANT! THANK YOU so much, this is SO helpful! I bought the round metal lazy susan but could not for the life of me figure out those so called "instructions" that came with it! You make it look so easy, thanks so much!!!!!

Much more helpful than the instructions on the pack. Thanks mate 👍

Oh my gosh Thank you so much!!! Now it all makes sense
Very helpful information. Thank you! -Michael
Wonderful! So that's how it works. Thanks a lot for the demo. I have to buy one and make some nice Xmas gifts with wood pieces. I want to make a Lagun table. Still have to figure out the glides. This thing needs some lubrication. A bit noisy.
I bot the component at Lowes and it is a 12” round one like you used. Thanks for the video and making this task easy. To say the least, the directions that came with mine were useless and also it didn't supply any screws either.
As I started to try to do this project, I decided to measure the distance from the center to the holes, and move the device if needed, to make sure it is centered. That may not be so important in terms of practical performance, but it might be a good idea.
Thanks that is easy
Thank you😊
Thanks sir 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks
Have you done a video on how to center the round hardware on around table and base?
Are all LS hardware bearings that noisy? What SIZE bearing is needed for a 24" LS? Is there a chart?
I was hoping to see you use the huge aluminium one on the left of the screen
Thanks so much!! I’m looking at the hardware and thinking how the heck am I supposed to screw the top on. 🤦♂️
Thanks for the video. I used the turntable with the ball bearings (the one you have on your left). There are holes on one side, where it looks like screws could go if I remove the plastic hole plugs. Is this one way to do it? Do i remove all the white plastic cap bits on the side that I am screwing right against and flush to the wood tray?

According to their product description on our website "Non-marring feet on both sides protect delicate finishes and if you choose, one side is removable to expose countersunk screw holes to mount to a turntable of your construction." So I would not remove ALL of the plastic plugs. Just the one side where you will be attaching your wood.
Couldn't you just drill 1 "access hole" for the screws to the "top"/, and rotate it to install each of the the 4 screws? (just sayin...) ;)Just read some comments, it appears 1 out of every 4-5 people said the same thing....

Sure, that would work for folks who don't care about astetic balance but,,, me... I would have to have at least 4 or I wouldn't be able to sleep. 2 might keep me up late but I would eventually fall asleep. 1, no way pal, it looks like a mistake happened.

@@juanvaldez9942 My kind of thinking.
Why drill four access holes? You only need one, rotate the base for each screw to the top.
@WoodcraftSupply
4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, you can do that instead if you want.
Need to show a circular piece of wood. Properly centering is tough.
I know the base is unseen, but why not just drill one access hole through the base and rotate the base to attach the hardware to the top?

What kind of grease would be good to make it quieter and smoother?

Perhaps the WD-40 Water Resistant SILICONE Lubricant might work OR this all purpose lubricant: www.woodcraft.com/products/starrett-m1-industrial-quality-all-purpose-lubricant-12oz
Is there a way to make it less noisy while spinning ?
Any suggestion on how to do this on quartz or Granite top instead of wood?

Oh interesting. No idea, except maybe drill holes too big for the screws and epoxy them in? No guarantees though.
I think you failed to show marking the holes on the bottom of the top piece?
Sir its excellent turning table, Please tell me what is the approximate price of one set of Susazan Lazy

There is a link in the description to all of our lazy susan hardware.
I made a lazy Susan using the round hardware and after finishing the top does not turn very easily. I put some wd40 int holes from the bottom which helped a little but still doesn’t turn on its own like you show with your video- any suggestions to make this work correctly? Thank you,Nancy

The first question would be did the hardware turn easily before you installed it?
You should have shown how to do the other, larger hardware, that’s the complicated one.
What size hardware would I need for a 20 inch diameter lazy susan
@WoodcraftSupply

The 17&1/2" would be nice and easy. The 12&5/16" would work as well. I wouldn't go any smaller than that.

@@hammerdick82 The 17.5" model already has non-skid feet built in, you don't need a base or carefully placed holes. You just screw it to your top piece and you're done.

Personal preference I guess.
I see you have a large TamBee lazy susan hardware laying there that you didn't bother to address. It isn't drilled for a bottom plate...seems to only need a top plate.
Terrible video. There is a lot you’re leaving out. Are you lining up the bottom plate and top plate over each other on the x’s you drew before you drill the holes? What side is top of the top plate and what side of bottom of the top plate. What side is top of bottom plate and what side is bottom of bottom plate? How is that oriented when you drill your holes? What size drillbit do you use to drill the holes into the bottom plate that you’ll use as a guide to fasten the fasteners through the bottom of the bottom plate into the bottom of the top plate? What size fasteners are you actually using? Do they come in the kid or do you need to bring your own?
@WoodcraftSupply

I'm sorry you were not happy with this video. This is a video specifically about installing the hardware, not making a whole lazy susan. Hopefully in the future I will have time to show the whole process. A lot of the answers to your questions are going to completely depend on you and what your workpieces and design are. The "X"s are to find the center of each piece. If your hardware is centered on both, the pieces should also end up centered. The fasteners do not come in the kit. If you're making a decorative table top lazy susan you can use smaller screws. SOME of the hardware we offer is rated for fairly heavy use, in this case you will want to use bigger/stronger fasteners.
Um… not helpful. Who makes a lazy Susan that’s square?
@WoodcraftSupply

This video is not about making a Lazy Susan, only installing the hardware. It installs the same whether the piece is square or round.
