@@Woawie so, I haven't done much yet I'm just preemptively asking. But I downloaded it, it worked, (this was a bit ago) I wanted to play normal ds3, I took out one of the files, I can double check once I'm home, but now whenever I load the game, it gives me the command prompt and doesn't progress past that point

Hey guys, remember to check the language of your game if you did everything and still are in vanilla. In the txt file of the setup zip says that english is required for the mod to work ^^

Cool spitfire background on your desktop

when i try moving the models file into the desktop folder i get a couple thousand errors such as "header error" and "data error"

Wanted to start a new game but I get a bat file message when I start the game and I can't get in.

I saw somewhere that using 7zip is necessary for everything to work I used winrar, and now i got a lot of missing itens in the game and some things (loot, chests, npcs) just dont work Should i repeat everything but using 7zip?

anyone else havin a problem for when you try to start up the game and a CMD Prompt shows up saying i dont have the most current version of mod engine. I downloaded it from the same file tab at the 2.15 Cinders files. so idk how it isnt the same version i need.

I did all the steps as you mentioned, it gave me "fatal error" thanks for playing cinders mod. I completely deleted the game, including saves, I reinstalled the mod as it appears in the video when I choose the character and just the first cinematic when it appears in the ash cemetery, a "fatal error" appears again

yo I know I am a month late but it's because of the new patch that interfers with the mod so you need to put an old patch to your game which is easy you can look it up on how to do it

Hey, I`m having issues installing the mod, I download everything and but it in the right folders, but when I launch the game it just doesnt load the mod. I changed the route to the mods in the configs like it said in the Readme text file.

My favorite part about 7zip is how it constantly wants to send everything to the C drive if you drag files out of their download location

Biggest issue when I drag the setup files it says the files already exist and to either replace or skip the files. And when I replaced them loaded up the game. It worked, but the models and textures for everything were invisible

My damn pc just doesn't let me do anything with the files, its just say your zip trial has expired

I followed your mod installation to a T but this is what it is saying when I open the game: "Unsupported version of Dark Souls 3 detected. Mod Engine will attempt to find the required functions in order to work, but I give no guarantees. DO NOT ASK ME FOR SUPPORT IF THINGS DON'T WORK PROPERLY." How did you move the cinders folder after the 1st move to game folder without showing that step. Since the 1st cinders folder is in the game folder will I have to rename it so i can be allowed to move it there?

Hi there, if you read the cinders wiki, you will see that its supposed to automatically "merge" the 2 different cinders folders. You SHOULD have only ONE cinders folder in the "game" directory

Thanks. I also extracted that cinders models file and moved the parts to the 1st cinder folder in the game folder. Then added the the 3rd and also replaced the dark souls 3 game file with the one that you provided on the updated video due to the patch giving us the black with white text screen. It works but I still don't know what to do with that 4rth file from the cinders updated version.

What's the difference if I use winRar?

The models is a pretty big file, if you have a bad set up it will take FOREVER. Maybe try starting it before school/work and check it when you get home.

@@Woawie so update apparently i was using a limiter for the browser so I made it so it could take up as much RAM as it wanted and it worked! Thanks for the guide and keep up the good work

@@skjss8705 you will have to go to the Dark Souls 3 folder (Steam \ steamapps \ common \ DARK SOULS III \ Game), and then delete the file dinput8.dll, after verifying the integrity of the files. This will probably require you to follow the steps to reinstall again though. This way you are resetting everything. Should work then.

my question is why my files dont "move" they only "copy". any help?

Usually if you extract the files before moving them , they move permanently. If you are opening your downloaded zip file and trying to move them straight into the game file they will be copied (I.E. extracting). I actually noticed this when I did it as well.

By default Mods block your access to the internet because if you play online with mods you will get banned. There are ways around that if you google it but be warned you will be banned.

Usually its an issue with a file dropped somewhere it shouldn't be. A good idea I recommend is go to the cog wheel for DS3 in steam and "verify the integrity of files" before re-installing the mod. Don't worry it isn't as big of a deal as it may seem. Hope that helps!

so much more steps then needed for all the cinder stuff like drag and drop in your cinders folder then drag into main folder but you couldve just extracted them directly into the dark souls 3 folder and it wouldve been so simple

I am not sure if the file download from Nexus is configured for Mod Engine 2, but if it is all you would have to is split the compressed files according to how it looks in Mod Engine 2 (I.E. your Cinders mod folder would go in Mod, etc, etc). Personally I have never tried it so not sure.

I feel like this entire video could've been like 6 minutes shorter, Since it's basically just extracting everything into the Dark Souls 3 Game Folder and just replacing the darksoulsiii.exe & making a vanilla character. It's as simple as Installing Convergence

Yeah stay away. The recent patch broke this mod. I tried everything. Move on
