How to Install an M4 Street Slayer Slip On Exhaust on a Yamaha YZF-R6 06-16
www.sportbiketrackgear.com/m4...
The Street Slayer Slip On Exhaust gives you a much sleeker option than the stock exhaust, with a much more aggressive look and sound. There is also a huge weight savings, especially when paired with the Muffler Box Eliminator Kit, which gives you 3 horse power and saves you 8.5 lbs.
The tools seen in this video can be found at www.sportbiketrackgear.com/tools
This install may be more advanced than you're used to because there is fabrication involved. If you feel uncomfortable with this modification please take your bike to a licensed motorcycle mechanic. Stay tuned for more installation videos!
This video is for demonstration purposes, and we are not responsible for any damage you do to your bike.

You don't need to remap anything. Just make sure you have the O2 sensor plugged in, and the computer will adjust the fueling (thank you fuel injection!) for you. I did it on my 2006 Yamaha R6 track bike (totally stock motor) and it gained like 2-3 horsepower, re-using the STOCK exhaust can.

Quick question Van I installed my Street slayer no problem everything worked out. Although i was told recently that my brake light was not activated by my rear brake anymore due to the new bolt supplied by m4 with the black tube. That bolt was the cause of my issue i was told by Yamaha. Did you guys have the same thing happen? Rear Brakes still work just won't activate brake light.

Not essential to keep the bike healthy, but to really take advantage of the power you will want to get a fuel controller for sure :)

If the friends you ride with make fun of your exhaust, get new friends. Unless your exhaust is Toce, in which case, Bahahahahahahaahahahahaaaa.

What if you just open up the CAT and emty whats inside it ? And dont you need to remap the bike to make the engine run optimaly ?

Using the CAT eliminator and Slip-on is the cleanest way to make the modification. It would be a ton of work to remove the filter material from the inside of the CAT. If you are looking for the peak performance of your motorcycle you would want to use a fuel controller with an auto-tune system, or have your ECU re-mapped. Thanks for watching!

I know the cleanest way to do it. But i live in Denmark and the police are strick here :( If they see my bike without a CAT i will be in trouble. So thats why i wanna know if i can emty my CAT and get the sound a Y pipe will give :) ?

No idea, I have never done that. It could make it sound better, or the extra space in the exhaust system might make your bike run terrible. Wish I could be more help with this one.

Yeah, i dont think it has been done before but i was also thinking about building the Y pipe inside the CAT, should be possible just dont know if i can do it myself. I really love the YZF R6 but sound means alot to me as well. I might just end up going with a GSXR 2006-07 since the CAT is inside the exhaust as i hear in the comments, so just slip on will do the trick.

@@playingfor4 That sounds like it would work. Check with a welder to see what they would charge to put it back together in case you decide you aren't up for it. Shouldn't be much if you do all the cutting and fitting and they just have to run the weld around it. Even less if you tack it in place.

I know right!!!!! I know lots of people that have or have had 2br on their bikes! It sounds badass on my 2014 honda vfr 800! The 2br carbon pipe makes my bike sound like a small block v8 and I have gotten lots of compliments:)
