This way you can use a VPN service with every device which is connected to your router.
Also, there are two options, an "Open VPN" (more secure), and a "L2TP" (an option for streaming services). I will go over both installation options, so will be covered in both cases.

Why do I have to purchase a new router versus the one that comes with my internet provider?
Hello, do you know if you can install the vpn on verizon fios router? And if so does that bypass the 5 or 6 device limit vpn’s have for one subscription as all devices using that router network would be passing through the vpn installed onto the router?

Verizon FiOS routers do not support installing VPN software directly. You can use a VPN on individual devices connected to the router, but it won't extend to other devices on the network. Each device requiring VPN will need its own subscription. The device limit imposed by the VPN service applies to simultaneous connections from different devices. Some routers offer VPN functionality, but it varies by model.
Why I have only the OpenVPN protocol? no other option..

You make it look too easy. Can you do a video to set up expressvpn on a TC-Link AX1800 router? The menu tab is completely different and not as easy.
I can't find VPN options in my routers gateway. I have a Belong DWA0122 Modem

If your Belong DWA0122 modem doesn't have VPN options, you might need to consider other alternatives. You can try using a VPN-enabled router or installing VPN software directly on your devices. Another option is to look for a VPN service that supports router compatibility.
