I would just add to make sure you're drilling into the brick, not the mortar in between. You did this of course but some viewers may not have noticed.

@Digital Cash Cow Look up the words "brick" and then "mortar". Afterwards the meaning should be clear (hopefully).

Thanks for the info about using the tapcon. I wasn't sure about those plastic anchors and was thinking of just driving in the screws that came with it. Your idea is better!

You're practical, not cheap! I used to buy those cheap plastic waste-of-money hideaway hose boxes that were nothing but a PITA. Never was easy to reel the hose in or out. These $10 jobs are much easier to wrap the house. Great video! Thanks!

I know that’s a concrete drill bit but does the drill have to be a special concrete drill too or just a reg drill? I’m learning about tools and new to this. Hope that’s not a silly question! Ty for you help!

Hi. A hammer drill is probably the preferred method but I just used a regular electric drill in this video. It just requires a little more pressure and effort.

Did you use a special drill bit for brick, the kind with a triangular tip?

The tapcon anchor package will tell you what size bit to use. I think I used the same size bit as the concrete anchor but a little smaller.

Are they plastic screws? How did they not break?
@howtoscottkeeley

No. They are anchors made of steel with a rust resistant blue coating.
