    If you're that worried about it being level drill one hole, put the one anchor and screw the bracket in for that hole then mark the other 3 holes, then take the screw off and drill the other 3 holes. This helps hold it level while you mark the holes.

    Nice. I do agree that drilling into brick -not mortar- is the way to go.

    Drill one hole and hang bracket on that driving screw tight enough to be able to rotate the bracket around. Check the level and mark all rest holes location. Rotate the bracket , drill , install anchors, rotate bracket back and attach.

    Nice! Thabk you for making this video, I'm no dish network installer but this tip will definitely work to put up my Metal Pegboards on the basement Cement block walls. I appreciate it the close up camera footage. Alot of videos I watched showed some good stuff but from like a 3ft distance and all I can see was them pointing to whete things should go and how flushed against the wall something should be lol 😆

    @R Williams Also, you can definitively drill more than one hole per brick, as long as they are apart from each others by a distance greater or equal to the length of the anchor.

    Great video. I have to put a few eye bolts into my brick for handing shade sales in my back yard. At the hardware store I was told to drill into the brick, pound in wood doweling, and our the screws into that. Any thoughts?

  • @halsaresnowpaw522

    @halsaresnowpaw522

    Three year later response. The wood can rot causing the bolts to loosen. I would avoid that method. And the people at a hardware store are probably not professional with a lot of experience doing this.

    Tried to drill a TV mount with a lag bolt that came with the mount. Followed instructions, but the lag bolt blew chunks out of my plaster board and created a hole too big for the bolt. Perhaps my drill speed was too high. Filled the hole and will reattempt with a socket wrench. Will I need a anchor/shield? It's a brick house with no studs. I've seen a video that said it's ok to drill directly in bricks, but everywhere else suggests you use an anchor. Not sure how to determine the right size too

    I guess the M6 will fit (Measured the width of the bolt). Not sure if I'll get a reply in time, but since using anchors will make it difficult to remove, I want to ensure that I avoid if I can.

    Never allow dish to drill on Roof and walls, or bricks. No matter how professional. I have several rental properties and I never allow this. It's better to have a poll in bucket full of cement installation.

    A pole in a bucket of cement can easily be moved ruining the alignment of the dish. I do agree that you should NEVER allow then to install on top of the roof. That is a guaranteed leak and most likely additional rot caused by the leak.
