Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

🔧 Watch Wade install a Fleece Cheetah turbocharger on a 6.7L Cummins. This is a drop-in replacement turbo for #diesels. It comes with a #fleece Performance Engineered compressor wheel and high flow Cheetah turbine wheel. This drop-in replacement turbo is guaranteed to enhance your driving experience. You’ll enjoy the spool up and throttle response of a small #turbo and still get the big top end power you're looking for. If you are towing during the week, and sled pulling on the weekend, the Cheetah is just the ticket.
Powerful Yet Responsive! These #turbochargers spool like stock, thanks to the variable nozzle technology (VNT) which allows the turbo to act smaller upon spool-up and then open up to flow more exhaust on the top end.

    Great video!!! watched it a few times and just finished swapping mine out. I saved a little time by not removing the NOX sensor, just undo the 2 clamps and take the elbow out the side and set it on the suspension. the only other thing I did different was the bottom cooler line, if you massage the heatshild a little, you can get a 7/8" socket on it to undo it. all in all, one of the best if not the best video for this swap!! thank you!!

    Just finished getting mine out. Watched this video step by step and followed to a T except that I did remove the battery tray and therefor didn't have to disconnect the alternator. I also opted to remove the coolant line from the block instead of dealing with the tight area under the turbo near the oil drain tube. Can't thank you guys enough for this video! Re:Nox sensor. Thanks for the video. It is very helpful. The thing is, I sat down for a minute and realized there was no need to remove the nox sensor as i have 410km on my truck, so it's tight. Just take the whole elbow out with the sensor/cable and move it off to the side. There is enough cable once you cut the zip ties that it can sit on top of the steering linkage.

    So I put this turbo on my 2018 ram. Everything went smooth, Turbo works great. I installed the fleece drain tube with no added gasket at first( looked like it’s what you did in the video). About 5k miles it started leaking oil. Yesterday I took it off cleaned everything up and added a gasket with a fine line of RTV( used high temp red) … still leaking. I’m going to attack it again this weekend. Any advice as to why it could be leaking? Was going to try a new gasket with oil resistant RTV.

  • @thoroughbreddiesel

    Same thing happened to us. The drain tube does not require another gasket, as there is a recessed o ring in the flange. The first kit we had the bolts in it were too long to make a good seal, you might want to check bolt length. If you need help on this just give us a call.

    @thoroughbreddiesel did you do anything special for first startup with the new turbo? Some recommend unplugging the injector harness and turning the engine over multiple times for 10 second intervals to get oil pressure at the turbo before first startup. Then plug injector harness back in and start the truck. What do you typically recommend?

  • @thoroughbreddiesel

    @thoroughbreddiesel

    5 ай бұрын

    We recommend pre oiling the turbo, we also recommend an oil change when changing a turbo. And for that, we change the oil right before changing the turbo, so that the truck doesn’t have extended times without lube.

    Good evening sir. First, thanks for an incredibly useful video. I'm at the point of lifting the engine up 1" on the passenger side to clear the turbo studs and found that the engine does not pivot upward. Engine mount bolt has at least 1/8" of clearance on each end. What are the possible causes? Thanks in advance for your reply!!!
