Alot of the time, when i was striking the ball with my laces, i'd find more often than not, the ball would backspin and always rise, which is sometimes useful, but usually sends the ball over the net, or makes it easier to save because the flight of the ball is easy to read as its quite linear. I see alot of professionals do this as well, which is probably why many now prefer the side foot curling shot. Ronaldo however, if you watch his shots in training (there are some vids of him with juve) and in matches, almost always hits the ball with either knuckle or topspin, (i'm talking about his general striking, not his freekick techniques). I realized that what he does differently in a lot of those shots, is that he brings his knee up for the follow through, and this is what gets the ball to move the way it does. Having tried it myself, it really changes everything, my shots are more likely to hit the target and challenge the keeper, and they are more poweful due to lack of backspin. Just thought this tip might help, seeing as many laced longshots usually end up in the stands.

Tip for that technique is while striking, keep your foot low to the ground even during the follow through. It prevents it going over.

Well, if your clubs pitches are shite, and the ball is bouncing when its rolling, then it is almost impossible to shoot a banger from 40 yards or even 20 yards.

adjusting the angle of your foot when hitting the ball makes the most difference for example locking your ankle and angling your foot diagonally and try to swipe across the ball but still hittting it in the middle, will make it go straight along the ground with backspin i recommend watching the f2 any techniq i have practiced has been from them lol

pubg roaster what i did, is see how much it curls depending on the distance. So let’s say I’m like just outside the box, I aim just to the side of the post. But the further you go, the further is my aim from the post/corner.

I play that position too (sometimes) but how I play is the opposite I pass the ball then run foward waiting for a pass to then get past a couple of defenders and try to score I play like a second striker or just a midfielder who assists a lot

How to warm up and stretch properly

I have a tip for improving long shots(am the striker in my team by the way) Whenu long shot dont think too much about getting your body over the body or locking the ankle. Instead think about internally rotating your leg as much as possible like your doing an outside foot shot. Trust me it helps a lot
