I like how you keep it very slow, simple, easy, basic, concise, and clear.. What we need to know is teaching from the very very basic since Kindergarten.. etc.. Teaching from other higher level people will always be lost and confused and keep on thinking that there are something that they haven’t learn yet so they can never ever master grammar.. 😃

I'm having difficulties of using proper grammar in every sentence its because I always rely in my native dialect (tagalog) that caused confusion to me. That's why I need to write down all my mistake to improve my grammatization skills. And other important thing is often using plushcards or apps. 😁

Here is how I learned grammar in the old days in Thailand (55+ years). The text books in primary school and lower secondary school don't talk about grammar topics at all. They just provide examples and drills to instill the correct form. I only started learning grammar topics in the last two years in high school, reading a few grammar books and doing exercise in them. I reinforced grammar learning by reading graded readers starting from 1000 words upto 3000 words from British Council library. There were about 200+ graded reader books and I read them all! My grammar is practically perfect, hardly making any mistakes since then. It has become a second nature to me like breathing in/breathing out, no need to think at all.

My personal tip for making written grammer drills delightful is to turn them into penmanship practice. Some time spent using careful writing out of letters can often lead to relaxation. Japanese calligraphers, allegedly, used to spend some time grinding powder to ink before they were calm enough to start doing calligraphy. :)

I came here to find what mistakes i.e (grammatically) did we actually do ,while forming a sentence so then by knowing it I could be abled to write a grammatically correct sentence without any difficulties. We always think that just by only watching videos on english lectures we will able to improve our writting skills but it is not true without doing it's practice i.e writting sentences, or reading books ,we can't able to improve it. So if you actually want to improve your communication sills or writting skills the you have to do practice it will be hard at start but then you will be enjoying it like a gameplay. Thank you

Hi Sir,Thanks a lot for the awesome videos. I have few doubts about the tenses and I think you are the best person to clarify those. so my doubt is : can we mix the tenses while making a sentence? for example : 1, I am learning the dance steps which I saw last night.2, We have been reminding them since the day we sent the request. eagerly waiting for your response

Hi Thressia, yes you can mix the tenses if separate ideas in your sentence involve different points in time. Your sentences are good!

As someone who’s first language is English, punctuation and grammar are so difficult and I hate it. So don’t feel bad if you’re new at it, it’s definitely difficult and English is a very weird language sometimes!

Hi Alsakin, thanks for watching. The best thing you can do is continue to speak, and continue to make mistakes. You will find that over time, you can learn from each instance and improve a little for the next time, and so on. But continue going out and speaking as much as possible! We also have some lessons on this particular topic. You can find them here: www.oxfordonlineenglish.com/balanced-english-learning, www.oxfordonlineenglish.com/smart-goals, www.oxfordonlineenglish.com/speak-english-fluently.
