How To Hit With Your Upper Body | Beginning Popping | Marie Poppins (Femme Fetale / We Are Heros)

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Details: Here is the 1st Popping tutorial that I will be posting on my channel. This is taught by my friend Marie Poppins (Style Elements / Warriors Crew) who is from France. Today she is not only teaching you the basic technique on how to "hit" with your upper body, but also how to dance with it. Like always take your time to learn the technique and then run with it. Hope you enjoy!

    Popping (How to Pop) 1) Arm Pop -Relax your fingers/ palm and the wrists. -Squeeze and tense the muscles(forearm/triceps) -Pop the muscles and cause the wrist to tap down as an after effect. 2) Neck Pop -Relax and tense the jaw muscles(the muscles under your jaw/ side muscles at the neck) 3) Chest Pop -Contract and release the muscles of your chest(the muscles right between your armpit and the chest) 4) Leg Pop -Snap the knee back to trigger the thigh muscles to pop. (put your weight on the leg)

    For me, I always thought about dancing, but I never really got into it until recently (maybe a year ago?) but even now I'm not really doing any practicing. When I around 9, I got into jerking which is what really sparked my interest but it's been like 7 years since then. I was always able to get upper body popping correct and I can hit the beat pretty well even though I never practiced anything, but I always struggled with the waist down. I also want to get into bboying, but it's a lot of work. Your videos, though, have really inspired me to actually start working for it. Thank you :)

    Hey Vincanitv, how often do you think i should practice

  • @PatrickSmithPhD

    @PatrickSmithPhD

    9 жыл бұрын

    Why would you ask this question? Do you think Vincani can just give you a magic number without even knowing you? I'm only saying this because a much better mindset for you to have is to try to answer you own question. Think about it, are you going to hurt yourself by practicing popping? No, very unlikely. Now you know you can practice pretty much as much as you want without hurting yourself. Great. How often should you practice? As often as you want. What's that, you want to be really really good? Then practice very, very often. Oh, you want to be really good but you're not in a huge hurry? Well just practice every day more or less or when you feel like it. Honestly, it is way better for you to try to figure out these kinds of questions on your own instead of helplessly asking someone who doesn't know you to give you some answer to follow. pce

    Hey Chris 3 days a week for 2-3 hours of dedicated practice is a good number. When I was younger and free of responsibilities I uses to practice every day for like 5 hours. Now that is a little unrealistic for me so just depends on how much time you have to dedicate.
