I swear that’s the dopest shyt ever…. I was never able to strut and boogaloo…. I ended up being a scratch dj…. But I swear I can watch this struttin for hours… it’s truly the foundation of bay areas street culture and west coast hip hop in my opinion.

I don't know where a lot of the misconceptions have come from, but glad to get the real story from a guy with 3+ decades of experience. A ton of respect. I had to laugh at how well he was able to keep time even without a track on (it sounds like it was added later). Got that internal metronome working, haha.

I'm from the Bay but I learned my popping in SD cause that's where I went to school. And because of my style, the only OG cat who showed me kindness was Dan Boogaloo. I hope things are different when I return. Much respect, Money B.

To be clear: I was looking at a lot of "popping" and "locking" videos. I finally watched "strutting" videos and this is the style that I like. Are you popping with these moves or not? I watched another "strutting" video and they said you are NOT popping. But, it looks like there is some "popping" in this video. Just want to know for sure or not. ETA: I watched the rest of the video and got my answer.

But who knows right kind of narrow minded to assume it was san Jose but yeeh very unique I wonder yaknow

We use to cut school go to other High Schools call out the dancers girls use to flock around Every weekend there was a house party with a DJ slamming and you can bet the highlight of the party was the strutting !!!!! Than some Filipino Girls would come out and do a dance routine dancing to " Let's Go." Or " The Planet Doesn't Mind." You are crazy dedicated !!!!! I'm 50 so you must be pushing that age it was a great time !
