BEFORE COMMENTING, PLEASE READ: Please be aware that I have poured my heart and soul into this series for three intense months. I have done almost everything myself: concept, research, raising the finance, approaching agencies, the planning, the driving, the logistics, the filming, writing the scripts, the editing, the presenting, the voiceovers, and the promotion. Not to mention getting the groceries, doing the cooking, walking the dog, washing up, doing laundry.... Please bear in mind how much effort has gone in to this, and I have done almost all of it on my own. Please check out all the links beneath the video for further information. Please remember that this series is not a definitive guide. Please remember that the information given has been done so in co-operation with Outer Hebrides Tourism, which is operated by Islanders who are looking at the WHOLE picture and doing the best for the overall good of responsible tourism to the islands. Unfortunately, the following types of comments will be ignored or removed: -Any question that might be answered with a little research of the links or an internet search engine -Any question which is basically wanting someone else (normally me) to take the responsibility of YOUR decision (e.g. 'We will be alright visiting in the winter?) -Any comment containing the word 'should' -Any comment based on opinion and bias (including vociferous social media/keyboard warriors) rather than considered research, such as that carried out by an organisation such as Outer Hebrides Tourism -Sweeping generalisations -Anything unkind about anybody -Personal remarks Please, be kind. Thank you.

Hi Andrew, I want to congratulate you on a fantastic series of videos. It is very clear that you put a huge amount of work into the project and your efforts were rewarded by a really informative and entertaining series. My wife & I are relocating from Dorset to Scotland at the end of March and we will be travelling whilst we search for our new home. My wife is Scottish but we have been in England for 40 years and we have never had the opportunity to tour Scotland properly. These videos have really helped us to work out where we want to visit on our campervan tour, and they have helped me to decide that I really really do want to live in the west coast with access to all of these marvels of nature. Thank you so much for a job very well done.

I don't make a habit of commenting on KZread vlogs that I watch, in fact this is a first but I just wanted to say thank you from myself and my hubby for all the inspiration you have given us over this last couple of years. You inspired us so much that we chose a camper van over our intended motorhome and we haven't regretted it once. I also want to thank you for showing us how beautiful Scotland and the Outer Hebrides is to the point we have booked our fist major trip to Lewis, Harris & hopefully the Uists for this October. Secretly I'm hoping that we might just bump into you there and that our two pug girls Lilly & Daisy get to say hello to Dougal instead of just seeing him on our TV. But most of all to say please keep making your amazing, inspirational videos, because they really are lovely to watch. 😉

Hey Andrew - I just love the Vlogs. I had a couple of weeks off in August so I visited the Outer Hebrides for the first time ever, just on foot, bus and boat starting in Castlebay and finishing in Stornoway. Wow!!! what a place the Hebrides is - I was absolutely smitten and I have to say I felt a bit desolate when I got back home. Your excellent videos have been a real solace for me as I contemplate and plot my next trip. Big thanks to you mate for your excellent work, ably assisted of course by your sidekick Dougal! So looking forward to the next ones - Andy.

Andrew, just watched your amazing series on the Hebrides. THANKYOU so much. My wife and I stayed in a cottage on Harris just as the distillery was being set up. Incredibly, we watched the part on Harris, seeing you in the distillery, as we were drinking our very first Harris gin, a recent birthday present!. And we currently live in Houston, Texas near one of the only shops that sells it over here. We are planning on buying a motor home when we retire back to the UK and your series has inspired us to go back to the Hebrides.

Hi Andrew , and the wonderful Dougal !! I just wanted to share something with you and thank you.To explain - I have been a subscriber and dedicated viewer for sometime now , and have had a wonderful time watching your vlogs over and over again. I am in my 60s , and always felt I had one last adventure in me and the idea of thumbing my nose at convention again by just taking off , with an Airstream has been an ambition. Having been recently diagnosed with a terminal illness , I have decided to have at it , and what the hell for as long as I can. Wanted to thank you for so much useable information on living a different lifestyle , and for shining a light on the flip side of convention to allow people to see what is actually out there. I cannot wait to begin , but I will make sure I have access to KZread so I can continue to follow you , and of course , Dougal , on future escapades , Dave

Thank you for this really great series. It ist (one of) the best I’ve ever seen on YT or even in professional TV. It comes along like a friend talkes to an other friend to help him planning his journey to the Hebrides. Great job with really helpful information and a presenting which really “forces” me to visit the beautiful islands. Thanks again 👍😊

Andrew Ditton okay. First step is done. Bought a Bürstner TravelVan 620 on Wednesday. As we are first time camper, now we are buying accessories for camping... I think this year we will exercise here in the very near Black Forest. Then, when we are brave enough, we will try a jump over the channel. Thanks for inspiring me.

Andrew. What an absolutely outstanding series of videos. Will assist so many considering/planning to make this adventurous journey. So please I stumbled across your superb work, thank you. Having already done this route with a friend in 2012 on motorcycles, I have to say its one of - if not the most - wonderful places I've ever visited, always yearned to return. Often reflecting, that I missed so much by travelling too fast and stopping too infrequently focused on the next destination rather than the journey. So, I'm now in the planning stage again, visiting the isles in either May 2022 or September 2022. This time completing the journey alone on an Ebike and camping. I intend to stop frequently, connect with the wonderful people/communities, landscapes and elements.

Andrew, good on you. I was so disappointed to read a really unhelpful comment last week literally hours after returning from the gorgeous isles. However I also know having met and re met other tourers on our island hops that they were all very responsible, courteous and appreciative of the opportunity to share the Isles for a while. The camping fraternity as a whole are some of the kindest on this planet! This series has been extremely helpful and whilst we missed the last 2 Vlogs as we were detaching ourselves from the world, we found your advice and the helpful island guide which we printed and took with us so helpful. We certainly recognise your efforts and thank you for sharing all that you do with us. Love Doggies on tour. P.S The Adria Twin was a success. Quite a revelation that I didn't have to head back to the campsite to the caravan whenever I forgot something (which occurs often!) and having a wC wherever you travelled was a life changer..... Looking forward to tonight's episode which includes Barradise!!! What a site Scurrival is 😍

Andrew, what a wonderful series, the work you've put in to make them informative, entertaining and professional cannot be under estimated. I appreciate (as do many others) the vast amount of time you've put in to research, film and edit the series. People who've made stupid, unwelcome comments have no idea the application it takes to produce such a professional series. They need to be ignored. It's sad but understandable comments have been disabled on the earlier vlogs, while it stops the vociferous social media/keyboard warriors, it also prevents all those who value and appreciate your work from leaving good comments. Please don't let the few spoil it for the majority. All the very best to you and Dougal. long may you continue to produce such quality content.
