Just found your channel from your Disturbed on Conan vid, but I gotta comment on how intelligently you guys are speaking. Tara used the word "regurgitate" perfectly. Really, big ups.

I hear complex harmonies. When I was a child in elementary school I always wanted the third part. Love those tight harmonics.

@@Tarasimonstudios Thank youu. And you are welcome. Keep up the amazing work. We learn so much from you. I'm happy you have several videos about harmonies and they are very well structured. Also, it's amazing you included the male voice too, because I can relate more as a tenor myself. :)
Love all your KZread video tutorials

It would be helpful if you could expand that past the major arpeggio. Into lower lower harmonies maybe?

How does it sound is it lower
I'm also a choir boy. I picked up the third right away too. Appreciate this teaching but C is a pretty easy key to find harmony in, and it's a very common key for songs to be sung in. What about unusual or rare keys? How do I improve harmonizing in F sharp major or B flat minor? In harder keys i sometimes royally mess up my harmony and sound like I have no idea how to sing.
thank you , it was fun
Oh my days i did it 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 loved the challenge exercise 💪🏾

Always up for a good challenge. Maybe, after I master this, just maybe I can do the free assessment , and get into Jeremie's s schedule. After I do Sing Smarter Not Harder, of course. I really would like to do that! What do you think?

I like fast and smart people. This video gives me the vibe that y’all are smart. It’s refreshing. Weird to say probably… but it’s true.

Love this videos
Thank you so much for this very helpful especially for the 5th twist. I have been trying and mostly comfy with the 3rd but my 5th always sounds so flat.. I like what you did hear. Can you kindly keep giving us more simple examples like this for beginners like me just the Root, 3rd and 5th next week if possible again 🙏🙏
i learned about harmonies from What I've Been Looking For from High School Musical and then i just listened to a bunch of musical duets bc they had the most harmonies and i just learned
I hear it! Welp because also I listen ALWAYS to Pentatonix lol. But Tara and coach Jeremy helped to sharpen my hearing more ^-^ Tysm
I enjoyed learning music theory on this video. Please, do more music theory content 😊
I'm confused. Is it emerge or immerse? Cuz they have essentially opposite meanings. Great informational video...I can always tell when I hear great harmony and I love it but I didn't really "know" the reason it's harmony. This technical stuff is fascinating...easy to tell what you like but this helps understand why.

This is so helpful! You mention listening to harmonies to help train the ear. Do you have a list of artists I could listen to, to find those great harmonies? When you talk about harmonies I’m reminded of Out Of Eden (Christian female group). I love their harmonies.
That was like Bruce ❤🎶
Good coach
Not me being so happy that I sang the harmony right away XD
Thank you for this. Can you post a lesson on breath support...when to be breath when singing?
👍👍👍thanks
Harmonizing with you both in my living room at 3:30 am! Lol 😆
I really like a prefer to sing harmonies and it's not always easy and is definitely easier for some than others. But as I tell my children and students and athletes...... Everything in life is hard....... Until it's not.! There was a time when we couldn't walk or talk or read or whatever. .... but with time and practice and "immersion" those thing became second nature and we do them without thinking about that we're doing them. So practice properly and realize that things take time. If it's something you like and enjoy and want to do it is worth your time, however long it takes

Hi Tara, Nice job explaining the root, third, and fifth. I developed a good ear back in 2014 for barbershop and vocal jazz harmonies. How about you do dominant seventh, sixth, and add9 chords.
Way cool.....Morgan State University Choir alum!! #altosection
