How to Hand-Felt your Knits
This video is a supplement to The Knitted Slipper Book. The book features 30 patterns for slippers and house shoes for the entire family, and many of the designs are knitted and then hand-felted. This video shows the techniques I use to hand-felt my knits.
The Knitted Slipper Book is an everything-you-need-to-know guide to making slippers. In addition to the knitting instructions, techniques covered include felting; shaping; sizing; attaching soles, linings, and insoles; and finishing with tassels, pom-poms, and other trims. Step-by-step photos assure beautiful, hard-wearing, and well-fitting results.

Yanna Michaelides you need wool to felt I believe not man made fibre
What kind of yarn do you have to knit with to felt it?

Wool. And not 'superwash' as that has been processed so it won't shrink and felt.

I have several books with patterns knitted and to be felted! They suggest Worsted. Or : as I live in Britain, best felting wools are - Blue-faced Leicester, Cheviot, Masham, Welsh Mules (cross breed), but Merino or merino-cross is very good. Also Corriedale, Icelandic,Falkland and Gotland. This may come too late!!!
