I have bought both types the same brand as you which i bought from Lidl supermarket. Wow i didnt know they were so different in size!! I thought the dwarf ones would be at least 3ft and the regular ones above 5ft. I'm just about to start growing them next month but i have started just a few indoors because i am so impatient.

Hi Thank you for watching and commenting. given the right conditions and sunlight they can grow to be over 3 metres tall, I didn't believe it myself until I saw the ones I gave my dad. I think now is a good time to plant them, this way they will have the maximum time to grow, and may even pass the 3metre height.

Did they give you seeds when they lived their life?

That's beautiful sunflowers blooming. I don't know what did I do wrong with my seeds but none of the seeds are sprouting. I did exactly like yours to germinate the seeds and I live in tropical area. 26-31 Celcius.

Thank you, that’s strange. After you did the water and paper towel did you place in a dark place like a draw to stop light getting to them. Also you could try placing them somewhere a bit cooler just to start them off.

@@TheCustomCarpenter i put the paper towel in the container and put in dark place for three days. I checked everyday but they didn't sprout. Now I am gonna try to sow them in the soil after soaking. I hope I get a good result. Finger cross 🤞

Leave them another couple of days, mine took about 5 days before they all sprouted. Open the container a little and try and see if the seed shells have cracked. Also are the seeds old that you have? Have they been scored well? Fingers crossed you get good results. 😊

What type of sunflower is that;

Just your regular sunflower 🌻. I got my seeds from a local supermarket here in the uk, packet advised of max height of 3 metres and we definitely got that’s if not more. The smaller ones were labelled as ‘Dwarf Sunflowers’ I’m delighted with the results and how nice they look.

@@TheCustomCarpenter did you placed them under full sun? Or it needs to have shade when it's the hottest?

Kerwin Kalaw I didn't have them in full sun, 70% sun and 30% shade with regular watering.
