    My feijoas in Western Australia fruits become the size of a finger and then fall off. Too hot?

  • @Shaun.Stephens

    Too dry probably. They need water to fill out the fruit. People are growing them fine in California (when watering them) so you should be ok. Good luck.

  • @mitre10nz

    @mitre10nz

    Feijoas are pretty hardy and can be grown in most soils. However, they do prefer a sunny, well-drained position in the garden. They are generally frost hardy and will handle temperatures as low as -8 to -10 degrees once established. ^Nathan

    what PH is the best?

  • @mitre10nz

    @mitre10nz

    4 жыл бұрын

    Hey Bernie, feijoas prefer slightly acidic soils with a pH of 6.0-6.5. High pH, alkaline conditions can cause stunted growth and leaf yellowing. I hope this helps mate! ^James

    You don't need any of that bagged stuff except the tree. Mulch with your own compost and mulch. Make your own stakes. Spend the money you save on more trees.
