I love how simple these are to grow. I would normally expand mycelium to other substrate like coco coir. Never imagined you could fruit them right in the jar. It's great that cordyceps don't require a lot of fresh air exchange. I run a 6k bulb I'm thinking that should work rather than blue LED's. Also I'm not sure if the three day incubation period is even needed if the light is indirect. I stopped putting mycelium in the dark and find I get less overlay and better grows overall. My flow hood is a lot smaller than yours so I want to try fruiting in shoe box size tubs.

Yeah the dark period is specifically for cordyceps.

Thank you. This is the clearest video I've seen yet. I'd like to use the box method but I do not have a flow hood. Can it be done? How high would you say the risk of contamination is?

Depends on your environment, you can use a still air box to mitigate risk. Also an air purifier helps.

I noticed you have another L.C. recipe you also use. 1/64 tsp DME and 1/64 tsp Peptone. Do you also use this Cordyceps? Do you have the weights of the ingredients?

The tub harvest is around 2 ounces dry, the jar harvest is usually around 7 grams dry

Yeah one of my sterilizers is electric but you can definitely just use a presto 23 quart pressure cooker.

Where did you get your lights from? I’m struggling to find lights that are just red and blue, let alone a light that’s 1 part blue and 2 parts red.

Just a suggestion but add some background music or sounds. Idk if it’s just me but it messes with my head when there’s no noise 😂 great instructions though I’d love to try growing these after I get the basics down.

@@SporenSprout dang lol did it glitch and not put in the voice audio? I’ve had weird things like that happen while rendering videos. Sucks when it happens because you’ve already got your video finished and ready by that point.

The music was safe to use and I gave credit like I was supposed to and like many months later I got a copyright strike for no reason and was forced to mute the video including my voice. The tutorial is very important to a lot of people so I re uploaded it the best I could.

how do you incubate it below 70? The only place in my house that gets that cold is the refrigerator. lol people who keep their homes below 75 are crazy. my thermo stays at 78

@@user-vi2qs5wu3f the rice is cooked in the pressure cooker in one method and the rice is cooked in the rice cooker in the other method. In both methods the rice is cooked. You could be more thorough with your questions if you want better answers.
