You state to wear gloves and that crystals are water soluble. Does that mean it’s not safe for little hands to handle and explore final crystals?

@@rebekahk3854 if the crystal without the nail polish, some crystal like KDP , ADP, copper sulphate , it is not very safe to use bare hands to handle

for alum and broax crystal, I think it is more safe to touch

Hypothetically if you broke off one of the pieces to this and then let it grow what it turned out differently or similar instead of spiky.

What happens if you put to much alum??

Will this still work at the use either fabric dye or alcoholic and how do you make the crystal shapes thicker

I tried alcohol inks and it didn't work out very well.

Why is the alum important? What effect does this enhance in crystal growth?

If you don't use the alum, i find that the crystal seed will spread on the bottom of container

Can you use alcoholic die on these crystals as the the color changes

Maybe you can try it as an ombre from the inside out by changin the colour of the last solution maybe tips of the crystal becomes a different colour

You can’t use food coloring you can only use colorful salt

@@DIYbama with it being water soluble, can you dip it or paint it with epoxy resin to ensure no loss to our wonderful Alabama humidity or accidents, as well as adding some structure integrity?
