Thanks for your video. I'm in the UK and I believe our climate is very similar to yours. Gonna have a go. Fingers crossed!

Thanks, this is the only one that I can find in English. My Chirimoya plant is over a year old, I was only able to get 1 seed to grow. It has been in my kitchen in a small pot because I didn't want to mess with it. I just transferred it into a bigger pot and put it in my sunroom because it seemed sturdy and about 6" tall and a red flower just budded. My leaf's are thin and spiral. I hope it grows bigger now that it's in the sunroom♥

very true, I grew a few Logan plants from seeds, and just bring it in the house during Winter, take it back out in Summer. I live in zone 5b/6a Indiana. very possible. Definitely nice seeing tropical plants. Even if it doesn't fruit. Ahaha

I just purchased a sugar apple tree . It's about 2ft tall in a 1 gal pot. Waiting to put it outside in N CA zone 9 so lets see what happens. Yours is much older but maybe there's hope for us if these tropicals grow in our climate. I hear indoors they do fine and fruit !

Thanks for all the awesome gardening videos. I started growing tropicals in Michigan during the last few years and it's great to finally find a source for growing tropical fruit trees in cold weather.

Hi thank you for your post. Has your tree produced anything? If not could they need a mate? Also wondering if your tree hasn't produced could it be that the seeds are sterile (which I hear some growers do )>

Hi thank you for the video, I have been growing a cherimoya tree for about 3 years now, mine is very tall like 9 or 10 feet tall, I grew it from seeds, but my question is how do I prune it, its too tall to be in the house now I live in Ohio so I have to bring it inside in the winter, and another thing I just read that the cherimoyas grown from seeds do not produce fruit, do you have any idea if that is true?

Hi! I hope you see this, I know its an old video, but I just live right over the pass from Seattle, and I really want to grow my own cherimoya! It was my absolute favorite when I lived in Madrid, and I need it back in my life without it costing 50 bucks a pop 😅 I was just wondering if I could get a current update on how your tree is doing with our northern climate? Did you ever get any fruit from it?

I left this outdoors in the greenhouse and it perished unfortunately. Seattle winters even with a greenhouse is still too cold for it. I was tired of shuffling it indoors every winter.

Hi..im so frustrated..i was away..and picked some cherimoya seeds..dried them..when I came back home from vacation i planted them using wet paper towel method..this was 1 month ago..so nothing happened..so I just stuck them in potting soil now..do you think there's still a chance they will grow..i never realized how hard the outer coating was?

Cherimoya seed can take a long time, sometimes several months to germinate without doing anything to them. The outer shell is quite thick and doesn't let water or air in easily for germination. What you need to do to is scarify the seed and give it 24hr soak in water. Scarification of the seed means to take a file or sandpaper rub some of the seed coat off. I use a file and rub both sides of the seed, but don't do it too much. If you see pure white you probably went too far. Keep the seeds somewhere warm in moist soil but not soaking wet. In about 2-4 weeks they should have roots sprouting out. I have had great success with scarification. Watch this video kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y5h2xpKnqb3el7g.html

in the beginning of your video I noticed some childrens' toys. Do you know that the leaves and bark of the Cherimoya is poisonous if eaten? With young children you must be cautious. The fruit is delicious though!
