Little late but how did it go

Going to confession today. And praise be to God, so will my husband who has been away from the church for a long time. Don’t give up on family members who are not currently on the same page as you are spiritually speaking. Continue to hope, trust, and ask the Lord to change their heart and minds. Oh, and never forget the power of the rosary and Mother Mary’s great intercession. ❤️✝️

Haven’t gone to confession in a very long time, I’m a sinner, did stuff I regret, God is probably very mad at me, I need to go to confession again. God bless you and thanks for making this video.

God isn't mad at you. He's most likely a little disappointed, but not angry. I know I'm 2 years late, but I really hope you went to confession and came back to the Lord. Jesus loves you endlessly! God bless you.

I am going today after about 8 years of jot going. I'm 24 now, I left my church in shame at 16 and was blinded by drugs, sex, apathy towards others, violence and so on and so fourth. I pray christ will receive me at me weakest so I may grow to be strong

I did confession on Friday after definitely more than 15 years, I hadn't felt this amount of freedom, hope and clarity in a long time. For me the best thing was to hear from the priest telling me that God has so much love for me despite all my sins and that even though I was wrong I ought not to keep my head down but rather acknowledge him in my future ways. I only wish I did it sooner. If you are thinking about please just do it.

Confession is such a wonderful gift from God. After I have been given absolution I feel like a new person. It's a wonderful feeling.

I’m 34 years old and I’m trying to convert to Catholicism. I plan on attending RCIA soon. I was kind of nervous at first but now after seeing this video I’m less nervous about going to my first confession. God bless all my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ

It is curious to note the small difference at the beginning of the confession. In Spain, for centuries we have begun a confession in a different manner, with a litany. We say "Ave María purísima" and the priest responds "sin pecado concebida." And when he is answering these words, we make the sign of the cross. The translation of which could be "Hail, Mary Inmaculate" and the priest responds "Conceived without sin." And then you say how long it has been since the last confession, what sins you have committed, etc... Greetings.

Only IF and WHEN you feel the call, consider going to Adoration of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament. Call your local parish and find out when they offer it. Then, just go and sit in silence in Christ’s Presence. Take your bible. Read scripture, pray, contemplate. Tell the Lord of your search for truth, of your doubts, worries, even fears. Then, be as patient with Him as He has been with you. When you receive the grace to know that HE IS THERE, you will be forever changed. Miracles occur in Christ’s presence - of that I can personally attest.

Thank you father, I’m 16 and I’m barely going to have my first confession today becuase I have my first communion in a week, my cadicism teacher never got to tell us how to do this because of the whole carona virus stuff, this really helped and calmed me down

Nice analagy Fr. Though - if I may humbly mention that you left out the 'Act of Contrition'. Here's a 'short' version for those who have forgotten or still learning:- "Oh my God, I am very sorry that I have sinned against You...because You are so good. With Your help, I will try not to sin again". This is said before the priest gives you absolution. He usually prompts you to say it.

Jesus alone, can hear your sins, and heal you. Simply repent and believe in the gospel. Salvation is found by trusting in how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: as the full and complete payment for your sins, past, present, and future. No confession to men needed, how bout it ? He said through his word "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" .

i just got baptised last year. can i confess: 1. bad things i did during my childhood which i feel sorry after ive grown up 2. sins i did before i got baptised but i dont feel sorry, just dont want to hide and justify myselfwhich im aware what i was doing
