As someone that is trying college and is just hating it, do they make you pay back the scholarship if you don't go back to school

You said previously that can only start tapping into the TA after 1 year in the guard. So let’s say I go back to college for a bachelor and it’s been a year already and TA is available for me to use. Does the Guard has a sort of policy when it comes to people in college like if the finals are coming soon and you gotta study but at the same time you gotta report to base for the part time obligations you have towards the guard every month, does the guard give you a pass just for you to focus on school or is it like bring your ass to training regardless kind of thing???

What ups bro. I passed meps & I go next week to sign my contract. I'm looking into the reserves. I want to get my bachelor's degree im applying for a school that has a flat rate of 3000 per semester annually it's 6000) What contract should I get? 3 or 6 years reserve? Best way to pay for my school ? You said TA is only 3500 a year ? Excluding fafsa That means i would have to pay the rest of the $2500? I took in what you said in the video im still a bit confused.

You also have the federal assistance which can be upto $4000 per fiscal year. I think it’s the same for both national guard and reserve.

No. THat does not count towards the 9/11 Bill. Only active duty time or 90 segregate days active duty not including reserve annual training. Must be active duty orders like deploying etc or called to duty

@@billydethloff2017 two of my best friends In college were military one marine reserves the other national guard they had a lot of personal time tbh and when the military needs them the Professors excuse them and let them make up their work but I went to a hbcu at larger universities the professors tend to be less hands on so I recommend going to a medium sized university so they can cater to u

4 times? Damn bro I failed once & went out and bought the asvab 2018 book. Study MK/AR & pc/Wk thats what makes up your qualification score. Every other subject is just a composite score to see what jobs you're eligible for.

@@MisterMinecraftII you're dumb lol. You know how many people score above 70 and still go infantry? 15% of the army is infantry. You could score a 40 and still qualify for a good amount of jobs besides 11b You're 16 and in high school I'd be surprised if you didnt score above a 50 given that you review the material thats on the asvab 5x a week. Oh no im just saying that reservists are NOT eligible for GI Bill unless you were on orders for a MOB or Deployment (title 10). The only sort of benefits a reserve soldier gets is the select reserve GI Bill which gives around $375 a month with no housing allowance assuming you didnt receive a title 10

Larry Fajardo TA is only for state colleges , that are paid for by the state. And GI bill can be used for any college but you get more coverage the longer you serve. If you sign a 6 year make sure you get a bonus that will help out.

Larry Fajardo yes exactly state funded schools , and yes you can combine because one is state and the other is federal.

Lol....you are too much. First, Federal TA requirements for the Guard is the same as the Reserves. Second, FASFA is something you will mainly need for the Reserves because they dont pay for your college. California has the Federal TA and this state benefit for school: Depending on type of school, the maximum 9-month award amount for an undergraduate is $12,240; 2 years minimum in the CAARNG or SMR and remain active member. Be California resident. Enroll in at least 3 units per term; Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0. FASFA isnt a military benefit.

Matthew Oliva actually the benefits do include FASFA in a way. If you apply for FASFA, they are giving you money towards your tuition and room...if your tuition is already paid for then that’s extra money in your pockets a semester.
