Slick your hair back wet, and wear a baseball cap for a few hours. Do this everyday. it will train your hair to stay back.

Wear a baseball back every day, all the time, due to exactly this problem and I have not found a way to style it. I had the same idea and thought the hair would stay back eventually. But at least for me, it's not working...

@@rashedulkabir6227 don't over wash ur hair and try to find organic shampoo, keratin and collagen cream and after washing ur hair with the organic shampoo put enough amount of the previous cream that I mentioned and massage ur scalp for like 5 min then comb ur hair while the cream still there and leave it for 10 to 15 min then wash ur hair and scalp with warm water *do it from 2 to 3 times a week

My hair is over 10 inches long, I spent about 7 years growing it out & pulling it back. Even with the weight and length resting on my back, my hair still falls forward when I brush my teeth. At what length or with which method can I get my hair to stay back, behind my ears, falling and resting on my back, instead of falling in my face & trying to rest on my chest? After 7 years of growing it out and pushing it back, I just want it to stay back, out of the effin way. Hair is an inanimate object, it should stay where I put it, especially if gravity is helping pull it down, while it’s pulled back & resting on my back. I don’t get why it lifts opposite gravity & opposite the direction I’ve been brushing it for years to be in my face & falling in the way of my food & anything I do that requires looking down. I just want to be able to look down & have my hair stay where I put it, back, in-line with gravity further pulling it down on my back. Any suggestions???

It's not going to happen likely due to your head shape and direction of follicles. Posture is important as well.

I don't think it will damage the hair or the scalp, but you could nourish it by using hair oils and leave in conditioning oils if you feel like its being damaged or going to be. And that technique is basically reducing the weight of the hair so i don't think it will damage it.
