He didn't answer this question though . He spoke about a widows peak, but what if you've got a straight hairline but you've got a few short bits growing back on your hairline. Do I need to wait for that bit being the longest? It's just those little bits on my hairline from where my barber shaped me up tightly, so nothing like a widows peak. Any advice appreciated.

I know many people prefer the modern long haired slick back but if you have, thick, wavy hair, you’re gonna have a lot of problems with the hair staying down and slick back. So I have some advice. If you have thick wavy hair, don’t grow it out longer than 3 inches. I prefer to grow it out to about 2.5 inches and fade the sides. It looks clean, professional and I don’t have to constantly be mindful if my hair is still as styled in the morning. I’ve tried growing it long to have a length of about 6 to 7 inches and my hair constantly goes to the side and the waviness makes it appear as a sideways part. So just my personal take on this classic hairstyle.

Mine is 4.2 inches. I think I could possibly pull it off since it comes down to my nose.

Is it normal to have different textures or different shine in the same head? I feel like the front and back part of my hair is shinier and smoother than the sides, idk if it's normal or just lack of care in those parts. Thanks for the video, good as always

Doesn't it matter in which direction the hair is cut to begin with?

Just don't listen to them my hair was that long and the hairdresser cut it super short, and told me that's the popular cut nowadays 😭, I regretted that moment for months. I'm growing it now

What is best for a low volume slick back haircut (no pompadour), pomade or gel?

A year old but it depends on your hair texture/density. The finer it is the harder it will be thus high hold/gel will be necessary. Thicker/straight can get away with pomade though but the key thing is to invest in water based products.
