    It's funny that this is Jonni's off-season look and it would be most people's dream physique. Good work as always Jonni and all these little tricks to help engage the targeted muscle over time make a massive difference.

    I've learned more about how to engage my back from you Jonni than from anyone. I'm sitting on the edge of my couch driving my elbows down and pulling back and just that movement is firing my lower lats like crazy. Fire 🔥

    Change it up a little. Take a cloth belt and tie the ends together and hook it to the cable and slide your hand through it and hold it and concentrate on just bringing your elbow down to your side. Do single arm pull downs while sitting straight up . Do some sitting sideways , do some sitting on a bench about 5,6 feet away facing the pully and sitting sideways. At 64 5'10 173, i started doing these and noticed some good growth. I do some sets at a lighter weight one week and the next week i start light and finish up heavy.

  • @kenl3805

    So, on one of your other videos about a closed grip row, you had shown that we want to bend over as far as possible to get the maximum stretch and range of motion. However, on this one, it seems a bit different. Granted, you do note that The more stationary position is for beginners. My question is should I be utilizing this same technique with the more advanced rowing of being fully extended in the starting position (Because it seems like I'm already doing what you have described in this video unless I'm missing something)? Or do you consider this exercise to be different from the fully extended close grip cable row in your previous video?

    I still don't understand that first part. I have watched it 3 times. I do hangs or partial lat pulls to engage my lats. But i also have a cardboard paper for lats, so I guess I'll try this out my next back day.

    I have a problem: my right lats is smaller than the left one, but I don't feel uncomfortable while I'm doing exercise - everything feel equal. Could it be because these mussels attached asymmetrically? Right now I'm doing additional isolation exercise on this part, but idk would it help or not(

  • @leonro

    @leonro

    6 ай бұрын

    Yeah, I'd say so. If there is no perceived difference in strength, then there's a good chance it's due to muscle insertions. Isolating the "smaller" part should help as long as you still have gains to make, but if you want to do something like a bodybuilding competition then it will more practical to downsize the larger muscle. But other than that, if the difference is not noticeable to anyone other than yourself staring in the mirror, I wouldn't worry too much about it. I felt similarly about my uneven abs at some point. There might also be the possibility that the smaller muscle should be trained differently due to a muscle fiber difference (so lower the voltage and increase the intensity, or vice versa), or that it might need more stimulus to grow when comparing to the other one. In the end, you should experiment with it a bit.
