Guess you just need a higher lvl or flame altar

If you're quick, you can jump down and get past the mist, but watch out for a horde of dual weilding dudes plus several mean green dualies, too.

yes if you are having this issue, it is a simple case of strengthening your altar to the next level

For anyone else who encountered this like I did, you can actually get around the shroud. At the point before you head north to Willow Crush go west instead from the Ancient Vault - Farmer, you'll pass through Withered Encampment then hug the mountain on your right shoulder and make your way up where you can. Eventually you will reach a point where you can glide over the shroud and run down to the spire.

Apparently they have changed this. The shroud in that area is now red, so I couldn't cross the bridge

if the shroud area is red, it means you need to go to your base and strengthen your flame altar, as you progress you will need to upgrade this to turn the red mist into green mist.
