This lizard has killed my caster so many times that I'm at the point of frustration. I know squishys are squishy but really??? It's taken me as long trying to beat this guy as it did leveling to get to this point. I hate this dragon with the heat of a thousand suns!!! Watching you defeat him at least brought a little joy into this frustrated heart of mine.

Try throwing you some tank gear on like in the videos stack some constitution maybe if your continuing to have issues. I hope this helps

If you are running a mage build, get ahold of an acid bite staff charge or two. I used a guide to get acid bite early and was able to kill him in 2 hits at level 14. It's probably pretty easy to get the kill without acid bite, but I got one-hit on my first attempt (300hp glass cannon build) so I wanted to come back with some real firepower haha.

I've enjoyed your guides to Icarus missions to get exotics, and tips for games like Icarus, starfield, etc. But this really shows your strength - a careful walkthrough demonstrating how to defeat this guy step by step. Another outstanding production! (Kind of like how to kill the Fell Wispwyvern for Dummies!). Makes me feel like I could do it - maybe I'll go try! Cheers - JW

I did this solo with a warrior build and it was a much easier fight than I thought. Stunned him 4 times with arrow, used a Guiloteen (sp?) Weapon with 60 damage. He was done.

Thanks for the vid! Was extremely helpful! A point that you probably already know but you do not need to keep switching to your bow. Keep your melee weapon readied and then just push your q key "aim" and it will aim whatever ranged weapon you have "equipped" staff or bow. if you use that instead of switching back and forth you can get some bow shots into the dragon between abilities. Trivial compared to wailing on him when he is vulnerable but still every bit helps.

Gave you a like a a sub. I went in there last night with my hybrid wizard and I'll tell ya, it did not end well for me. Losing 90% of my health on hit made it a pain. But I will take another run at it later today. Just need to get myself some tankier gear and more hp pots. Kinda used a lot of them last night. I've only played a few days but being an older guy I believe my reaction time is suffering 😅

If you have already been thru Pike and want to skip the tour and go straight to boss.... go east then north around the back of the mountains. You can see the entrance to the arena from the mountain.... just glide in.

Bring you a few stacks of potions and just use them every time you take damage. Or increase your survivability more with better armor or more Hp. ALWAYS. KEEP. MOVING.

You probably don't need your pickaxe on the hot bar during the fight. Maybe keep food a little handy instead. Thanks for the demo.

I accidentally stumbled upon this area when I was lower level and it took me 30 straight minutes to defeat him because how little damage I could do with my wimpy weapons haha. But, the trick is really just memorizing his attack pattern.

Yep makes the fight much easier

i did the bomb / mine through the wall method to enter , i got him on the 2nd try with a melee / slight tank build and happen to luck out finding bombs that spawn ghost heads to attack in the city crypts. I hand most of the same gear but i have a 1h axe that does 48 power maxed out and leach life and a bow at 28 with poison copper arrows.

I don’t know if I had a bug, but I had to fight two wispwyverns and about 50 offspring at the same time. I haven’t seen anyone else fighting two but just one.

Yep some people were having trouble getting the kill so that’s why we made this. 😀 congrats on the kill!

My first visit there resulted in about two hours of continuous deaths. I feel inspired to try again. I use a mage in wizard armor, a couple of wands a staff and a bow. I have a sword for the bugs. All I have for spells is chain lightening, ice bolts fand fire balls. Which one works best if any. I don't have the acid one yet. I really need this head to get my flame to level 4.

Maybe try some heavy armor with a sword, use whatever you can to stun them then just open up on the head with everything XD try some constitution items and food for more survival

What if you're running a wizard/healer build? any tips for that? He one shots me when he jumps even though i try to roll out of the way.

Yah stack tank like stats and add more survivability to your armor or build and buff foods. You need more HP or better gear. You can also try to cheese him from the front door.

Thanks for the weak points it will make it a bit easier. As always you make it look easy. You do realize that that was easy because you're a tank. I dropped down there 3 times and each time he stunned me immediately then stomped me and I was dead. I invested in blink and blink when stunned I hope it helps for next try.

Id just keep moving! Best of luck. Maybe grab some tank armor and it will get you through it. As stated use constitution for higher hp and regen. Keep your hp topped with pots. Keep moving to one side to avoid attacks.

How do you destroy around the gate? I threw the explosives and it doesnt do anything

Just used scrap on all my kills.

i was level 16 with eagle eye set and legendary bow.. I soloed it, after a few deaths i noticed he wasn't respawning. he would be waiting with prior damage if i hugged the wall on my left after respawn at the orb. died like 30 times but slowly waddled him down. eventwly he stops respawning, as if the game realizes you are playign solo. lol . so when you die hes still there watitng for you

Were you not able to kill him? You can also kind of cheese it by blowing off the front doors and exiting when you get low hp and wanding or shooting them to death.

@LateNightStream i was able too. Every time i died tho, he did not reset, sooo when i respawned he still had damage done. So i was able to slowly widdle him down.

Hi Josh! Can I solo this at lvl 9 with 152 physical 74 magical resistance … i have the ring of endless life & lvl 17 ornate wood bow maxed stats (19 power) I also have the adventurers gear

I’d give it a try in theory you should have no issues just bring plenty of healing pots and place a flame

Hey! Stun them when they do the move and then just open up on their face. Wanna aim for the face and bring plenty of potions.
